Fairfield Inn…read moregets a lot of my money so I'm fairly familiar with the format of the hotel and guest amenities I can expect. This location opened about two years ago and has been kept in pristine, new condition. The furniture and fixtures are in great shape and everything smells fresh and clean. Cleanliness is much appreciated when you're traveling away from home. The front desk staff is on their game and does a great job getting you checked in quickly and on your way to the room. They are super friendly-we had a young, college age woman taking care of us-and they make you feel that they do want your business. I was assigned to a king suite on the first floor. The rooms themselves are well appointed with amenities including a refrigerator and coffee station. The bathroom is a typical size with a walk-in shower. Having the temperature control for the water within reach of the door but away from the spray means you can adjust it to your liking without getting wet. Great idea. Overall, this is a fantastic property and at the top tier of Fairfield Inn locations. Highly recommended.

I saw a connection door in the room that made me nervous since I was alone. The sheet on the bed smelled bad not clean at all. The first night I slept on top of the sheets. The next morning, I asked Lettie a maid I saw to change the sheet and explained to her that the sheet smelled like bad body order. I helped her change the sheets. That night I slept under the sheets I was awakened several times by something biting me. The next morning my left arm was covered in bites. They moved me to another room for the last night. I was unaware of what inspect bite me. The night manager came to the room to give me a trash can since none was in the room. I showed her my arm. She said she had worked there for 14 years and that it was bed bugs. I was alarmed and wanted to leave but where was I going at 12:30 at night. The next morning My daughter talked to the Hotel manager about the problem. She said she had no authority to do anything about it. I have had to go to urgent care now twice with the injury. Not to mention throwing out blankets I just bought, clothes and other things. When I left the next morning at 10:30 I saw mattresses stacked up in two stacks about a story high. I had to buy calamine lotion, oatmeal soak, Benadryl, Benadryl liquid to stop itching and it has been a totally terrible experience. I had stayed in the Wyndham JOHO hotel in Winterhaven before coming to North Fort Myers. That one was so very nice I booked with Wyndham again. This was terrible and I fact that no one did anything to fix this situation tells me you don't care. NO I will never stay here again or will anyone I know. I still have not healed from the inspect bites.

Let me start by saying the rooms were clean and the facility itself was nice. However, the…read morebreakfast service was extremely disappointing and poorly executed. The full breakfast setup was present, but there was effectively no usable bread for sandwiches. Instead of standard sandwich buns as shown in your brand diagrams, guests were left with only hard English muffins or crumbly drop biscuits that fall apart in your hands. This made it nearly impossible to assemble a proper breakfast sandwich, which is clearly what the eggs and toppings are intended for. The result was a breakfast that looked complete but functionally was not. I raised this issue directly with the General Manager. She smiled, listened, and placated me, but no changes were made. The exact same situation continued. I observed another guest express the same frustration and receive the same response. There was no attempt to resolve the issue or ensure guest satisfaction -- only acknowledgment without action. Because of this, I ultimately stopped eating breakfast there and chose to check out and stay at my home in Naples instead. My colleague also moved his stay to Marriott due to the same frustration. For context, I am a Lifetime Diamond member and stay at Home2 Suites properties very frequently. This location, unfortunately, does not reflect the standards I normally experience with your brand. The breakfast offering, as currently implemented, feels like a cost-cutting measure that undermines the entire guest experience. The rooms were fine. The service response was not. Leadership that listens but does nothing is not effective leadership, and breakfast quality that cannot be used as intended should be inspected and corrected. I wanted Hilton to be aware of this, as I do not believe this property is currently representing Home2 Suites at the level it should. Sincerely, Rob Lifetime Diamond

The room was spacious with a king bed. The suites all have nice sized kitchens with a full refrigerator and freezer. They are stocked with cutlery and chinaware, too. This is perfect for families. The bathroom has a large shower. I do miss the individual amenities that hotels used to have. This had the wall containers of shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. Breakfast was included every day. My only quibble was that the "egg" options and sides were only luke warm and not really hot. One morning we used the waffle iron to heat everything up. But no one went hungry. We'd stay here again -- as it was comfortable and convenient.

Great coffee shop in lobby Great restaurant on site (Ellie Mae's- separate review) Beautiful rooftop bar Amazing amount of hot water and amazingly hot. And I mean HOT water. Finally a hotel gets it right!! Valet fast and friendly. Cons l The gym is on the same floor as meeting rooms. (Didn't affect me but would suck if I had meetings at the time I wanted to workout.) Weird artwork placement - it's like they put up the art then added the furniture.

As a lifetime diamond member, my husband was even able to check in a bit earlier than we expected. Staff has been very nice and accommodating throughout our stay, by the way. Friendly. Our room with its king size bed and sofa was large. We always take advantage of the in room fridge and microwave. It looks freshly painted and decorated. The large screen TV is huge! The bathroom has a tub shower combination with shower curtain. The toilet seat is small and low, however. Lots of fluffy towels. Breakfast is included. My least favorite combo was the meal the first day -- a whites only egg something with greasy sausage pieces that look like a hot dog chopped up. The second day was a bit better with an omelet and sausage patties. Luckily they have waffles, cold/hot cereal, and breads to toast... One positive was the free bottled water provided. This was a nice amenity. We chose the hotel for its convenience. We were in town to watch our great grandson play in an invitational baseball tournament. And the fields were not far away. I'd stay here again.

We don't usually spend a lot of time in our room so we never go all out on spending big money for hotels. Here are the pros and cons of my (currently) week stay at this hotel. -- Pros: * local to anything you need restaurants and stores. * affordable * outdoor pool that's clean * nice view of the river and city * clean mini fridge and microwave * small newer upgrades * housekeeping * front desk are respectful * free breakfast Cons: * roaches (picture attached) about sh*t myself when I was eating and set my sandwich on the nightstand to see one crawling up * shower faucet is backwards (cold is hot and hot is cold) * poor tv connection as the channels go on and off * wifi has not worked since arriving despite asking for assistance with password * (I asked for no housekeeping services for the week) housekeeping continued to knock daily. They entered despite us being gone and left a note on the bed(picture attached) However, they took the trash next to the door. * stained bed sheets * front desk shared to much personal information, like they're submitting their two week notice for a better job with better management. * spider webs above 2 out 4 lamp shades * spider and web in the corner in bathroom * plug in next to sink does not work * no coffee maker * beds are very springy and worn Unfortunately, due to more cons than pros even for the price this is not a hotel that I will be staying at again in the future. Not that it matters but I am a front desk manager at an IHG hotel where I'm from and would've booked one except I booked and paid for this stay before I started this position. Each hotel has a set of standards and this hotel certainly tried, but needs to teach their staff how to clean and inspect along with genuine care for their guests.
