100/5 Muchas Gracias…read moreto dear Felix and his great Team! One of the most enjoyable meals we devoured here in Calgary. My husband's seafood soup ("Parihuela") was OUTSTANDING. Deep sabor and generous portions of seafood. My grilled chicken picante on quinoa with fresh salad and beans ("Pio bowl") was DIVINE. Fresh. Light. Bursting with flavour and HEALTHY. Thank you for your warm hospitality and EXCEPTIONAL FOOD. Excellent service by Kristal. Deborah and Gary

We seldom find ourselves in this area so we took the opportunity to try a new restaurant. We…read moresettled on Pio Peruvian as it offered gluten-free choices and lots seafood options. It's located in a strip mall and walking in you're first hit with bright lights and colourful decorations, giving the impression that you're in a fast food restaurant. The the food and service are excellent, so I felt that the decor took away a little from the experience. We started with the ceviche as an appetizer. Beautiful white fish with pickled onions, corn, and a healthy serving of fried yucca. I could've ordered a large as my appetizer, really good. As our mains we shared the Arroz Con Mariscos, a creamier Peruvian version of Paella, and Fileté De Pescado. Both delicious but not a great combo as both come with rice and salad. Everything was gluten and dairy free. I also had a Chicha Morada, a traditional Peruvian drink made from purple corn. Sweet and delicious! The prices are very reasonable given the quality and portion size. A little attention to the ambiance would pull it all together.
