Absolutely delicious homemade ice cream! The owner is so nice and lets you try all the flavors. We tried so many and had a hard time choosing. I ended up going with the Nutella and nut flavor while my husband got the horchata snow. The owner said he is a third generation ice cream maker, but decided to open up his own business using higher quality ingredients. Definitely try this spot out for creamy goodness!! Must stop by if you love ice cream! I got the horacha snow and goat cheese with caramel and pecans, both were amazing and unique. The horacha snow was a fresher taste and less rich so I enjoyed it more but the goat cheese was delicious in its own rich way! Definitely recommend! read more

Tiny little local gem that you should not missed! Runs by a husband and wife couple, husband is the ice cream maker and he said it's been running in the family for generations. You won't find traditional ice cream here by trust me, you won't regret for dropping by and give it a try (yes they let you try out their flavours first before you commit) and and cup with 3 generous scoops is only 115 pesos + tips. Sabores helados was such a gem of a find during my time in Puerto Vallarta. The owner came from a family of ice cream makers, so he's truly the ice cream expert that I've never met before. Although the small shop is an order to go type of place, my friends and I spent a good fifteen minutes there sampling the different flavors and learning about the business from the owner. The person before us told us that this is the best ice cream that you'll ever taste and he was not lying. Each batch of ice cream is made in small batches and all the waffle cones are hand rolled. I got the ice cream with goat cheese (who would've thought cheese in ice cream tasted so good?). All the flavors were fresh and not over the board sweet. The sweetness was very subtle and I enjoyed eating the ice cream so much more, since oftentimes my ice cream experiences feel regretful after the fourth bite. I really wish the shop owner the best of luck and really hope that the business can expand beyond Mexico!! read more

Craft ice cream in the heart of old town just two doors down from Los Muertos brewing. I had a scoop of beeramisu in a waffle cone that was to die for. I hear they also have a salted caramel bourbon ice cream but it's so popular they sell out early. The gentleman who owns this shop churns gallon sized buckets every morning. I believe he has 8-10 flavors on hand. Closed Tuesdays. Get there early in the afternoon to get your favorite flavor! read more

Cute little shop with unique craft ice cream. I wish they carried more different flavored paletas. I got the matcha green tea ice cream, it was surprisingly good. I've had better matcha green tea but for the area this was a pleasant find! I wasn't expecting ceremonial grade tea or anything but it was nice to actually taste the tea flavor because I was thinking it would be different than scarily green tea. Really nice ice cream parlor. Met the owner Miguel who will be opening a restaurant in SF later this year. I got the "Turtle Cheesecake". According to the owner this flavored got its name as a reference to turtles vs tortoises. Tortoises are land animals and have to deal with the heat while turtles are mostly sea animals and tend to be cooler than tortoises. For concept, dope aesthetic, dope conversation. By far my favorite ice cream in Vallarta! I don't feel that guilty eating it either because the owner only puts in as much sugar as necessary.
