I am reviewing Dallas By Definition. I did read some reviews first. I saw a one star that please, was not about D by D, but that poster themselves. This is a marketing research company. They have a criterion each person matched up that each candidate must meet. If the parameters shift, it is because the company they are doing the study for changed it, not them. If the study itself is canceled by the company, that too is not on D by D. From the review, the only thing that happened is they were considered, then not. They never drove out to the building or even left their home, so they had expended zero dollars, just a couple of phone calls considering them. Why be upset? Anyway. I found out about a study that concerns me, they called, I gave them some info over the phone, they contacted me that I qualify and made me an offer. I was flexible with my schedule so I could afford to take any time slot available. I was a half hour early, parked in the correct place, when in, the office was nice and welcoming. I was greeted, offered a snack, and bottled agua. I was seen on time. I had to sign an NDA so I could not discuss the nature of the study. When it was over, I signed out, was hit with the snaps agreed upon, and was out the door within on time. The interviewer was very upfront about every aspect and what to expect. He was professional, courteous, understanding, and kind, and the whole experience was worth it. Every bit the 5 stars and maybe more. I love using Yelp. What I do not understand is why anyone would use it to settle what is obviously a grudge that has no real basis. I dealt with Steve. At no point in his phone conversation or emails did he at all mislead me or fail to give me clear guidance on the process from start to finish. What he said to expect happened to the letter. Hope all of you that took time to read my review are well, enjoying life, happiness, and see this space as an indication you are doing first world well enough that you not only can afford to spend money on goods and services, you can afford to care about the quality to the level of a rating system. Some people are just getting by and can't afford to even care how good a thing is, just that they could afford it at all. I have yet to receive a call back from Brent from either my messages or when he promises to call back. HomePro continues to demonstrate poor customer service. Original below... Awful customer service, lock you into contracts for equipment that doesn't work and technology that is terrible. Save your money and go with Ring, SimpliSafe, etc... They autorenewed me and ended up buying out my contract because I would rather end my relationship with them than continue paying them every month. One of our neighbors recommended Hawk Security. I called a few others, but felt more comfortable with Hawk. So I scheduled an in home estimate. The day of our scheduled appointment Peter showed up. He was on time, and very knowledgeable about securing our 7500 square foot home. He made great recommendations, without a bunch of upselling. The day of our installation went great! Mark the installer was very friendly, and hard working. He never complain about all the work, which took him 10 hours to perform. Once he was done, he patiently showed me how to work the system, which wasn't easy because I'm no Techie. Later that day Peter called to make sure I was completely satisfied. Very rare, as it seems most places are done with you once they get paid. I even had to call Peter again a few weeks after installation with a question, and he got right back to me with an answer. Hawk Security did not only do a great job, but their attitude and customer service was excellent! I highly recommend them.

TERRIBLE COMPANY STAY AWAY Most terrible company ever. I…read morebought a house that the previous owners had hawk security system. We decided that we didn't need it so we never signed up for their member ship. however all their gear and systems are still hooked up to the house, they didnt bother to come get it. The monitor in the wall would ring every other day or so and would ask for a code to stop it. I never even got any code from them and when I didnt sign up I imagined they would just turn everything off. That brings be to today, all of a sudden in the middle of the day the monitor powers the whole house with a fire alarm and wouldn't stop unless I put in the code. My six month old baby is screaming because it woke him up from a nap. I immediately call hawk security so they can help me turn it off, as it is their system that is doing it. the lady transfers me to support and no one ever answered after waiting for over 5 min. Meanwhile there is an alarm blasting through the whole house. I hang up and call again and the lady just starts telling me to unplug the monitor from the wall, I keep telling her there is no plug and she just keeps saying that there is. I explain to her that the wire is run through the wall. then she tells me in that case there should be a box plugged into the house somewhere, I explain to her there is not a box and that we barley have anything plugged in since we havent lived here very long and we havent been able to buy much furniture. She keeps speaking to me like im an idiot that there is a box plugged in somewhere and I just have to find it to get the system to stop. After looking through the whole house and not finding said box I ask her if they can send a tech out here to unplug the whole system, she said they only do that to people who pay. I ask her if I pay someone to come out to unplug it and she says they dont do that. She tells me she has other people on the line and has to go then just hangs up on me. I work in real estate and that is just not how you treat people especially if you're a company that provides a service. I ended up just cutting the system from the wall and creating a big hole in the drywall that now has to be repaired. I am still shocked at the way I was spoken to. If I could give zero stars I would. I have no words.
