We wound up getting into Prague late and didn't make it out of our hotel until about 10 p.m. We…read morewere starving but most "nice" restaurants shut down around that time and we were told by several area businesses that they would not serve us, the kitchen was closed, etc. We were extremely frustrated (and extremely hungry) so we wound up at Burrito Loco. I learned later that there are a few Burrito Loco locations but this one is in the middle of a good bar district, which means late-night eats are a must. The shop itself is very tiny... only maybe half a dozen people can stand there comfortably. So the line often goes out the door. It's not fancy or complicated. There are a handful of pretty basic options to choose from and a couple of drink options. They get bonus points for serving bottled Jaritos. Service was patient while we ordered and food was delivered pretty quickly. My husband got a burrito, which he did not finish (never a good sign). I got a bacon quesadilla, which seemed like a fairly safe option. It was OK. The bacon was really fatty. But it was hot, filled with cheese and made me not starving. So check. I DO think that if I had been out partying at a bar and needed something to scarf down at like 2 in the morning, Burrito Loco would be PERFECT. And I do think that is probably their busiest time of the day. So in that respect, this pace was totally perfect, don't change a thing. If you want an actually good burrito, though, maybe not...

It´s bistro/shop and it´s actually easy to miss because it´s hiddden in a courtyard. But don´t miss it. Trust me, you don´t wanna miss this place. Their tortillas are the best in Prague. Definitely. Plus you will find there may other ingredients ands products which you wont find anywhere else. And when done with shopping you can enjoy some eating in local Taco bar. Burrito, taco, quesadilla and nachos are the main meals. As a meet they offer beef (including carne adobo - delicious), pork, chicken and they have also veggie variant. And they have a mexican limonades - Jarritos. And tequillas. I was very excited when I found this place and I am still. It´s pity that it´s not more in the centrum but that trip is worth it.

They change their menu weekly and add specials not to mention they have a free salsa bar and unlimited refills on their two home-made Mexican drinks (unheard of in Prague). The best part is that they have a large market that includes hard to find Mexican ingredients like things for tamales, enchiladas and Mexican spices.

We…read moredecided to give it a try but they were completely booked up for the night and we couldn't get a table. It smelled amazing and my heart was set on Mexican food from that point so we looked and found Alebrijes. It was right around the corner from the first place we tried so we decided to stop in and see if there was availability. First impression had me worried since there wasn't anyone sitting inside with the exception of a couple tables. It also didn't smell incredible at first like the previous restaurant we had walked into. When we walked in they mentioned they were also booked up but if we wanted to sit at the bar we could. When we took our seats, the staff told us they could sit us at a table if we wouldn't be longer than 2 hours since it was reserved for that time. It was perfect. We ordered some cocktails and an appetizer. That set us up for one of the best dinners we've had in Europe so far. We ordered a margarita and a Tajin cocktail. Both were amazing. The appetizer was quasadillas and taquitos with the most amazing tomatillo salsa I've ever had. It was so good. Dinner was pollo tostadas and poblano enchiladas. Both were incredible but the enchiladas were like nothing I've ever had. The flavor was so unique and different. I'll be dreaming about them for a while. The only downside to the whole meal were the churros for dessert. They were called churros but they weren't made with traditional choux pastry. They were tortillas filled with dulce de leche then rolled and fried. Good but not a typical churro. Overall, this was such an amazing meal. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We left feeling very satisfied and pleased with our restaurant choice.
