I was involved in a three vehicle accident in Rancho Cordova. The responding officers were incredibly polite and helpful.

Zero stars for "community service". VIN inspection email for appointment says 10 to 15 min window…read moreto check in for appointment, which I did. When I arrived, desk clerk says grace period is 5 minutes!! They have window signage and conflicting email information about waiting at curb vs going into office. I was asked to reschedule appointment after I already took time away/off of work. Parking lot was empty and no one came to the curb and no one waiting inside at the windowed reception desk. This public resource is not community oriented or aware of what is baseline accountability for customer service

There was an officer Alfonso evaluated the minor accident. Officer Alfonso, first spoke to the driver that hit me, then he spoke to me. Officer Alfanso asked me what happen! Then I told him. The officer in question demeanor changed towards me. In the middle of our conversation, the CHP officer walked away. I called International Affairs, then that Department referred me to an officer Sargent Tweet, I explained to Sargent Tweet my issue. Sargent Tweet spoke to Officer Alfanso. Discrimination towards me. During the accident I asked the other party for active insurance card. He could not provide an active insurance card. When I spoke to Sargent Tweet about not having an active insurance card, if they are cited on the spot? Sargent Tweet said that it would be up to the present CHP officer. I then called the DMV and asked if it is against the law not having an active insurance card? DMV said under California law, it is against the law. How corrupt can the Rancho Cordova, CHP be? Be aware of this office. Don't let them push you around. If perhaps you have an issue contact Internal Affairs, CHP. Also put your phone on record when speaking to them. What an awful experience.

The BAR representative who handled my case was professional, calm, and very courageous. He stepped in immediately, communicated clearly, and the dealership's behavior changed the moment he got involved. What had been days of pressure and confusion was resolved quickly once BAR intervened. I'm genuinely grateful for their support. **BAR is an essential resource for consumers, and I highly recommend reaching out to them if you ever feel pressured or misled by an auto repair facility.
