I first started working with Nathan as a buyer in 2018 where we looked at some houses. Shortly into…read moreit, I put the house search on hold due to my personal situation. In early 2020, we reconnected and got into two purchase contracts. We ended up backing out of the first one because the sellers were not willing to make any concessions at all for $8-10K of pest and electric repairs, but Nathan did what he could to make it work including getting competing bids from pest inspectors with which he had good rapports. Nathan was steadfast and understanding and offered words of encouragement. Within two months later, we ended up closing on an even better house at the beginning of April. Throughout the journey, it was a big comfort to have a knowledgeable advisor of the real estate market, process, and house ownership/maintenance. During tours, he would point out things that looked unusual, provide insight into the severity of an identified issue, and estimate cost of repairs. When the home inspector identified that a row of sprinklers in the front lawn didn't work, he stayed afterward to test the zones and figured out that those sprinklers were simply hooked up to the valve in the backyard. When we were deciding what to offer on a very competitive house, he showed data relating how much was the average market selling price versus listing price, based on how many weeks after the house had been listed and number of competing offers. He addressed every single question and concern that my family or I had (believe me, there were a lot of them) in a professional, measured, and level-headed way. For the two times when the question was beyond his scope as a real estate agent, he would guide me on how or whom I should direct the question. If you're like me, I take all real estate advice with a grain of salt because buying a house is such a large purchase. Having worked with Nathan over a decently long period of time, I can truly say he has demonstrated to be a trustworthy, honest, and experienced advisor who can skillfully get the job done even in a very competitive sellers' market.
