We allowed the school ample notice time and our son's spot was filled as we called to check this on the back-end. We contacted Tallal multiple time to attempt to resolve this and he refused to refund anything. We are now filing a small claims case against the school/owner to get our money back. Additionally, we had stayed on their email list and had noted many very high tuition increases during the course of the year. This school seems more interested in making profits than in doing what is fair and ethical for the families. I would not recommend this daycare to anyone.

I love this group. I attended it when I was a student at U. Delaware, and I also lived in Newark…read moretwo more years, during which time I continued participating in this group. I am very grateful that I was allowed (and encouraged) to participate in this group when I was no longer a student. This time in my life was somewhat difficult, and I often felt lonely and out of place living in a college town when I was no longer a student, and this ministry group helped me to feel appreciated and feel a sense of belonging. This place serves weekly dinners, followed by services. I loved the services, especially when they had traditional hymn-singing. I found the pastor, Bruce Heggen, to be thought-provoking and to raise deep and interesting questions which helped challenge me spiritually. This group is pretty inclusive in terms of people who have different beliefs and faith backgrounds. Although it's associated with an ELCA church, it serves people from the more liberal ELCA denominations as well as people from the more conservative Missouri Synod, and everyone coexists. There are also a few people who show up here who do not have lutheran backgrounds, and I think the group would be welcoming to non-lutherans (I did not grow up Lutheran although I've attended Lutheran churches and are familiar with their liturgy and traditions). This group also does a lot of other things, including running a tutoring service. The also allowed us to use their space one year for dancing, as the Perkins scrounge closes at 10:30, and we had a few gatherings here in the dining area with dancing for a couple hours after the scrounge closed. The group also runs a fellowiship for the service of the hungry (FISH). I am really impressed with how much this small group does! I think their biggest service though is to the student body, providing a community gathering space.

Finding an equal balance of pre-school education for kindergarten preparation, child social development and the teaching of Christian principles is a difficult search these days. There exists a program in the West Chester, Pennsylvania area that achieves this unique balance, in my opinion. MUM's Christian Pre-school. As I stated in my opening comment, both my daughters have attended the four year old program. My oldest daughter is now in 1st grade and recalls many of her positive experiences with pre-school to this day. She not only gets along with her current first grade classmates, her behavior in class has been exceptional and she has been recommended for school enrichment programs. My youngest daughter is enrolled in the pre-school program, currently. Her overall development has taken an incredible leap forward this school year. Her confidence grows with each passing day. I can not thank program director Gwen Marone enough. She is a wonderful person and has years of pre-school teaching experience to incorporate with the development of the children. Gwen's dedication to detail is obvious. She spends many hours preparing programs and weekly learning themes for the children. Gwen has a high level of understanding on what modern kindergarten programs are like. Her instructional classroom skill exercises begin this foundation for your child. Saying I am pleased, would be an understatement. It's a community oriented program that makes everyone feel welcomed, even if you are not a member of the immediate local community or church.
