There are a lot of churches in Newburgh and whatever your background is or church preference (i.e. baptist, Pentecostal, etc) you're sure to find something in the area. This is a small African American church I was invited to and I found it to be really, really small in terms of congregation size based on the number of attendees I saw during my visit. I found it to be filled with God loving people, pastors message was on point with biblical truths and overall a nice small church if that's what you're looking for. Often times people looking for a new church home know what size congregation they want. Some want really small churches like this one that tend to be more "family" oriented because of the small size while others are looking for what I call "mega" churches were they simply attend, warm a seat and get lost in the shuffle avoiding intimate relationships with the general congregation. It's all a personal preference and if you're looking for a new church I hope you find that perfect match. My experience at this church was super positive, my only complaint is the music and sound system was insanely loud. Otherwise, check it out for yourself and decide if it's the fit for you're individual needs.

Even though they primarily speak spanish they do have a translator to quickly translate so if you only speak english you can still follow along. This church offers 2 services every Sunday and they are very active throughtout the entire week. There is a lot of prayer intercession, prayer vigils and fastings throughout the year. When the Holy Spirit begins to move upon the congregation..you never know how God will manifest his glory!! A year ago during a convention, The presence of Holy Angels filled the sanctuary and white feathers began to descend over the entire sanctuary. It was such a glorious time in His presence. The worship is predominantly in spanish language, but if you close your eyes and press into the Lord...You will begin to flow in the annointing and find yourself in the Holiest Place!! They also don't have a regular children's ministry because when I went the children's classes were suspended for a month or two my guess for spring/summer break. I would call ahead about the children's services if that's important to you. Otherwise this small church is truly charismatic and filled with God loving people.

Parking wasn't as bad as I expected since we had to park on the street. When I arrived with my children in tow they immediately grabbed their ears because the music was pulsating loud so much it hurt their ears and my ears as well (poor sound system I suspect). Aside from the terrible music and sound system they had several people make announcements for an hour. Service began at 11am and by 12:45pm the pastor still had not begun the morning message. I'm not sure what time the message was given because at 12:45pm I had just about had enough and walked out. I suspect this church is typical southern baptist style but then again I've never stepped foot in a real southern baptist church and base that assumption from the movies.

Ive been there and every time I go the Holy Spirit shows up and Gods presence is felt. I love this house of God and it is a place of deliverance , restoration and a safe haven for all. All the clergy there has the spirit of God with them from the Profet to the Elders , God is truly there and I was delivered and healed , now im happy and free. Glory be to God. I Love God , and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and thank God that the Holy spirit led me here. I Love the people there as well Bishop, Profet, deacon, elders and the whole church body , hopefully we can continue to spread love and the word of God , less divisions of churches and more of following the word of God , helping others , and spreading the Gospel.
