The support & admin staff are always professional & very helpful , and everyone is on a first name basis and tries to get to know you very quickly and listen to any queries. All in all so far proving to be one of the best decisions I have made in recent years re my personal CPD. Kings Colle is a great place to study a foreign language in the evening. I go there for portuguese…read moreand french. The teachers are exellent and you really learn the language. Furthermore you learn about the country aswell. The staff there is really helpfull. The teachers involve medias such as movies into their classes aswell. My professor for sociology of subcultures was the foremost biographer (and friend) of Vivienne Westwood/Kate Moss/Malcolm McLaren, etc..; professor for social analysis of modern Britain was an EU consultant that would visit candidate memberstates to analyze the economic parabola to see if their country would be able to match the joining criteria, and also taught at LSE... they really got some good people to sign on. I wish I could say the same for the school I'm doing my MA at!!!! The only negative I had with them, was the cafeteria food, and anyone that's been to Richmond can attest to this... (pasta with vegetarian sauce will give you nightmares), but you're in an area with endless restaurants so just eat out! They did a really good job of organizing subsidized activities for the students to do, so daytrips and things in the city would be fairly affordable to those attending. I'd recommend AIFS/ Richmond in a heartbeat. Was a bit pricey, but well worth the experience.

Having arrived at the school from overseas and being the smallest in the class at age 14 I was in…read morethe first week of school beaten by twenty students. The teachers consistently applied bullying tacticts and psychological games with the students often threatening them, for those students seen as more problematic they school would make them sign contracts promising they must behave in the sixth form otherwise they would automaticly be expelled. I had the feeling that their only concern was maintaining appearances and keeping results - often threatening students not to speak to the press, the two years I spent at the London Oratory were the unhappiest of my life and whilst it has taken years for me to overcome the trauma of the bullying I witnessed there both from the students and teachers I am glad to say I have overcome the trauma and am now a well adjusted adult.
