Whenever I asked what was wrong or what had happened they would brush it off and no one knew anything. I moved her to another preschool and she started thriving socializing and not being anxious for school. My daughter is kind and to see this school take away her smile was unacceptable. The history of the school, the academic accomplishments, the daily presence of the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament, and being the only school in the South Bay with nuns as teachers were huge pluses we felt were best to help carry our Catholic beliefs we teach at home. I retoured all the local Montessori schools and decided to come back to Montessori hills for my third. It truly is the best for our family and it seemed like nothing had changed since my other children went to this school. She's been there for months and everything was going well. Until she started biting out of nowhere. We received incident reports and calls from the teachers and principal. I felt so horrible, but all the teachers and the principal have really been supportive through this. They were firm that this is serious because obviously they don't want the other children to get bitten, but they were also caring and understanding that it's part of her development. I'm a third time parent and this is the first time I'm going through this. They gave me so many tools and resources and have given my child extra support during this time. I could not be more grateful for their guidance. I read another review below saying it's a good school until your child is a problem child. Well I felt like my child became the problem child but in my experience they helped support us through the challenges and it seemed like they really cared. They put a plan in place and I felt like we were all a team in helping my child. She's improved so much because of the care and extra support we have all been pouring into her. I absolutely love Frau Claudia & Holt, and despite my multiple requests being denied for my daughter to be in the latter's class, after jumping through all of the other hoops, we put her in the school anyway. Sadly, just after the cutoff date for applications to other charter schools closed, Superintendent David Sciaretta and the Board deviated from their charter, firing Principal Bouterse under suspect circumstances, truly undermining the foundation of the school and damaging relationships with parents, faculty and staff. This single blow has been truly devastating to our community, and has shattered our confidence in Sciaretta and the Board, who seem corrupt, power-hungry and lack transparency and integrity. We have yet to receive a reason for this firing, after 23 years of excellent service by Greta, 12 as Principal. Furthermore, despite parents and faculty showing up en-masse to meetings, airing grievances and raising objections, with hundreds more emailing in, requesting that Superintendent Sciaretta and the Board hold true to their charter and divulge information, all requests unheard or denied. On site, there is consistent physical assault, bullying, teasing, and unhealthy, unsafe, and unnecessary negative interactions that are not being resolved in quality manners. Office staff deny requests for restorative justice, there is no on-site nurse, and many of the teachers lack quality pay or resources to support their needs. Many of whom are paying out of pocket for supplies, with parents also donating to make up the difference. All this while Sciaretta has spent over 300,000$ on advertising and has a ridiculously large salary as well. The administration of Sciaretta and the Board is appalling, injust, disheartening, and disappointing. Many efforts are being made to protest, demand transparency and a return to the schools charter. I will be enrolling my child in a different school next year. It is pathetic and unconscionable to see the downfall of this school, once a heralded, prestigious institution of our community. Do NOT SUPPORT this corrupt administration, demand justice be served!

This is a tremendous Christian school where you truly get so much more than you pay for. It is one…read moreof South Bay's best kept secrets. They have small class sizes (excellent student to teacher ratios), and their staff really exemplify Christian character. Not only do we see tremendous growth and achievement in our children, but people around us notice that our children are so well-mannered. We attribute this to South Bay Christian Academy. Sure, there are bigger schools - but it will be hard to find a better school, or better prices. They offer financial aid for their students, the students get university scholarships, and their students are able to begin concurrent college enrollment as early as the 10th grade. Plus, the students seem so well-connected to their Christian identity. One of our best decisions so far, has been the decision to send our three children to South Bay Christian Academy!
