She even hung up on me when she used my daughter's phone to speak to me. I had to call back and she replied saying oh I assumed we were done with the conversation. I told her to not be pressing buttons on my daughter's phone even if we were done with the phone call. This school wants to address the silliest issues but when it comes to serious matters there is always an excuse of why they can't do much for their students safety.

What a huge difference! The teachers have been more engaged and involved, and really cared about my son's transition. He absolutely loved going here from 4th - 6th grade. He made some really good friends here. The teachers took an active role in making sure my son got the best education - a big shout out to Ms. Rodgers and especially Mrs. Ruperto. Ever so kind, caring, and communicative, she noticed that my son was not as productive as he could be; and, because of her diligence, my son got the support and help he needed, as he was diagnosed with a mild cognitive learning disorder. He now has the resources he needs to learn efficiently at his pace. I also loved the principal, Dr. Grisier. Never have I seen a principal more actively involved with the staff and students, he's out there directing traffic in the morning and afternoons, walking around just to see and say hi to all the students, staff, and parents. Honestly, this school is one of the best out there.

My daughter was bullied and attacked enough to cause bruises. Knots in her forehead and dirt thrown in her hair and face. With no consequences to the bully. After several investigations they did find that the child was bullying my daughter- but due to privacy laws that protect bullies - apparently I can't know what those consequences are. So if you want to ever feel safe for your child, find a neighboring school. Tragic. Even though now we jus transferred her school I can't help but feel sadden by the way things were handle or lack their of. The academics are quite challenging, the teachers are exceptional, and the principal, specialists, and office staff have been incredibly welcoming and supportive from day one --truly invested in their students' success. My kids transferred from another school last year and have exceeded every expectation. Both came in with IEPs and received excellent, consistent support. My daughter has since moved on to Rancho Del Rey and continues to thrive thanks to the foundation she built at Heritage. This school was highly recommended by my family members who work in education, and it has absolutely lived up to that reputation.
