I barely got covered before Ryan was unlawfully inside my living room. - my brand new car was keyed, and a year later, someone sideswiped it. They couldn't/didn't bother to review surveillance video because the first time the cameras were out of order and they only record for 24 hours, then the footage is gone. - I've had three packages stolen from the entry foyer in as many months, so there's apparently a dirty rotten thief here somewhere - all of the carpets in the hallway are covered in huge dog urine and feces stains. Because of this I'm embarrassed to even have company - I've been here four years and they haven't even thought about fixing maintenance issues (I have several faulty outlets, the floor is eroded in my bathroom since I moved in, and my faucets drip terribly) - they state that your deposit is non-refundable, which isn't legal in NYS. Save yourself some trouble and find a different place! I'm now disabled, but the minute I can afford to, I'm gone. If the owner wants to discuss details, I'll be happy to share them with you; Ryan should know who/where I am.

Although this apartment complex has outdated interior, it's clean. That's the good part. The…read moreother good part is that the rent is low, $575 for a one bedroom apt in 2013. But, beware of the following: - The laundry room appliances do not work well. The dryers cannot dry towels. - The lease requires you to move out about 1 week before the end of your last month, even though you will be required to pay the full month rent, - The landlord comes across a nice old lady, but she is a shark and will find every way possible to not return your security deposit. I was blamed for leaks in windows and leaks in ceiling which were issues with the building itself, not caused by misuse of my apt. - The landlord old does a walk-thru and picks for everything. My wife spent hours cleaning every cupboard, every appliance, and the bathroom and even though the place was spotless, the landlord told my wife that the stave was not clean. She didn't say this during the walk-thru, she said it when we called her a couple weeks later to ask about the status of our security deposit. I suppose that I feel a little better in knowing that I am not the only renter to be screwed by the old lady. Earlier today I looked on apartment ratings.com and saw about half-dozen people saying that had the same experience. Well, I guess I should have researched before renting the place. Anyway, I feel better letting you know of this and hopefully preventing others from the same. If you feel compelled to rent from her, then at least do yourself a favor and do not pay the last month rent. That way you will at least not be screwed out of your security deposit. Any issues I had were resolved in a timely manner. I have no plans of moving and plan on staying as a long time renter.

The building is nice, as are the grounds, however the pavement needs work. The woodsy, suburban…read moresetting is pleasant but the vibe is off. Buildings could use elevators. Most residents avoid the property manager here because reasoning with her is like trying to nail jello to a tree. If you move in, I suggest installing a hidden security camera. I left because I was tired of being bullied and verbally abused by her, as did many others. I'm in a much happier spot now in N Utica with not even a 10th of the drama and my landlord is the nicest person, who thanks me for keeping my place so clean!

Mohawk Valley Handyman did a couple of projects for me, and I have scheduled additional work…read more Andrew has a great work ethic, pays attention to details, and does excellent work. He was very reasonable, showed up when he promised he would, and is quick with quotes, and communicating. The first project was leveling and securing my cement front steps. He did quality work. Then he installed cabinets and a new sink in my first and second floor kitchens. Once again excellent quality work. I scheduled additional cabinets installation, and some repairs of a door between rooms that came off track. He did electrical, plumbing, and cement work for me. All done very well and looked wonderful upon completion. Any hurdles that occurred he was able to provide a solution. I give Mohawk Valley Handyman Services the highest possible praise! You can be sure your project will be done with awesome results!

That would make it false advertising. * end of update I'm not pleased with their handling of my project. The website shows pictures of a fence install. I contacted them to set up a quote and received two text messages. First to contact them to dis uss and then today telling me they don't handle fence installs. WTH?!?! They instead referred me to someone else. I'm not pleased that this was handled this way. I doubt very much that I'll ever use them given they can't even handle normal business communication properly.

This company is a joke... for all the knowledge they say they have is a joke…read more.. this company didnt even want to dig out dirt to level the ground to lay the crush stone and rebar to pour the 6" concrete that was verbally agreed upon. so he had to reschedule the pour and couldnt get it soon enough for him to get paid his balance so he wanted to come bring bags to lay his concrete but for the (8x20) size of slab it would need over 200 bags of concrete. So this sounds funny. Then I did my own research, and he was to clean out all the old concrete and blacktop and any branches to make sure all debris was out so the prep can be set for the laying of the concrete. Only took him a total of 5 hours (in 3 different days to total those hours) to do his demo of all the old material. He definitely is the kind of person who tell you one thing verbally and do totally different in his work. He does not show up for work when he tells you he will... He is always non communicable. He says he doesn't need to talk with the person who hired him to do the work. He does not think he is doing anything wrong, but when you only work only 2 hours on a day that he chooses to work, and not consecutive days at that. How do you work like that to prepare any job site for a project to get finished. In all reality, he does not even clean up his mess he just leaves it all around on your property for the next time he comes back which is not the next day. It is when he thinks he should come back to the job site to do more work. Project was to lay an 8' x 20' concrete slab; he thinks its ok to frame in with just a 2 x 4 and not clean out the area which he just pulled up old black top crumbles and old concrete crumbles. when you do your own research is says that all debris need to be cleaned out, so the concrete does not heave or get spider web breaks in it. He is not consistent with his ability to accomplish the task you want done. I will never recommend his company for he wouldn't even admit to the verbal conversation we had. IF YOU WORK WITH HIM DONT SIGN HIS AGGREEMENT WITHOUT HIM PUTTIN THE COMPLETE SCOPE OF WORK IN THE AGGREMENTEMENT BECAUSE HE WILL ACT LIKE YOU DID NOT HAVE A VERBAL COMMUNICATION REGARDING THE SCOPE OF WORK TO BE DONE. NOT AT ALL DEPENDABLE! NOT EVEN TRUTHFUL ABOUT CONVERSATIONS SO MAKE SURE IT IS ALL TYPED IN HIS AGREEMENT. BECAUSE ONCE YOU SIGN THAT CONTRACT HIS SCOPE OF WORK BECOMES DIFFERENT FROM WHAT YOU SPOKE ABOUT.

Mr. Adam Owens the Contractor did some…read moreshoddy workmanship for me they did not complete the work my sidewalks and front of my home are a mess, rocks everywhere, debri. I had to tape off the front because it's dangerous. I had to clean up after them told them not to leave tools and important items laying around as to may get stolen around here where I live and actually almost did. Now they won't return my texts, calls or emails. I trusted them I paid them a deposit, made sure they had electricity and water checked in periodically. Work demolition started out great they cleared old sidewalks and front area of my home cleaned it up nice. When it came down to getting the area ready for the pour of cement this is when it went downhill and the pour itself a nightmare. Some areas didn't get filled others wrongly spread the lines and grooves where not put in accordance to city standards, they didn't wait left property right away some of the men looked like they didn't know what they where doing the list goes on and on. I sent Adam pictures of how my front of the house should have looked 2 times and gave him the city guidelines for the sidewalks. Adam stated he knew how to do sidewalks I saw pictures of their work on their website and Yelp it's amazing. He tried to make it right after asked me for more money for materials to only make the job worse. You have to see this to believe it the sidewalks are not leveled, trip hazard, water piles on it, he left gravel pile in the middle of sidewalk. The sidewalks are already cracking and falling apart. They never put dirt back on the sides of sidewalks so there are gaping holes just horrible they scrapped up my driveway. I've tried reaching Adam many times at one point he wrote me back via email and stated he has intentions of returning to the property but didn't show up yet. He sent me an appt. txt never showed up. Adam and crew are not punctual at all many times have shown up late or in the afternoons with excuses somedays didn't come at alI wasting my time I took off from work. I had to constantly call and text him a job that should have taken 1 to 2 weeks has turned out to be more than a month now a true nightmare. I'm over it so upset, frustrated, stressed, feel like I been taken advantage of idk if he is doing this because I am a single woman this is not right and not how you conduct business with people. I don't get it he was a nice guy, respectful, knowledgeable, friendly at first until I expressed my dissatisfaction with the work. I told him if he didn't know what he was doing he should of said something from the beginning. These sidewalks now have to be torn apart and redone all over a waste of time, materials, money, and trust. I don't have money like that I took out a loan I have already started paying back and still don't have my finished sidewalks and front of my home completed correctly. He is a fraud. He gave me an excellent quote in the beginning to only play games after. I posted this so others are wary of this man and don't fall into the same mistake I did.
