I am brand new to this end of town but not new to Calgary. relocating from the deepest part of…read moreCalgary's southwest to the farthest Northeast you can reach before literally being no longer in our huge spread-out vast land was shock enough for myself and our newborn baby girl who gifted us with her presence three days after my birthday. she will be three months at the end of September. Now id love to sit here and say I'm an angel/gods gift to humanity and am an easy case at the best of times. however I have worked with the general public and with much less training, surely not the quality and knowledge we instill in what we refer to as professionals and I'll tell you I, as humbly as I may divulge, have been treated overall with more class from an eggplant. of six maybe seven doctors all of whom I know are equipped to write a prescription I was given the sixth degree as to why I require a refill of the prescription I do. over and over, as calmly and clearly as I could possibly explain, our health care system is flawed. free, to an extent but very flawed and most care which u will receive is specific to the doctor "professional" who goes about opening that heavy brown door you are behind that dreaded day of each visit. my diagnosis have been a part of me which I have been trudging happily through life with for over 21 years now. I have Tourette, generalized anxiety disorder as well as obsessive compulsive disorder, which a very well known and highly respected physician labeled me while I was 8, a serious of medications followed. more recently after overcoming a six year long battle with heroin and holding my best friend/roommates hand while he passed I have been diagnosed borderline personality disorder as well as PTSD. I have just started, for the first time in three years a new job as well as took possession of my own place and had my first child which from day to day, I honestly cant tell you how blessed grateful and unsure of. what I am however sure of is that I have been fighting my entire life to keep my head above water and to walk into a clinic where you are greeted by doctors such at dr Yvonne and a few others is a gift in itself. these people, cause they are as human as you and I, have been extremely helpful. most of the staff and doctors I have encountered at this clinic not only make you feel welcome they are open minded and approachable. they come from a place of understanding and care and truly look at the person behind the mask you may be wearing that day in order to really get to the route of each specific clients issue. I don't always hear what I want and I'll tell you trying to juggle a baby a new job, a wife and new place is not always easy and may not without complication promptly accommodate a dir.'s apt at say ur family physicians or a clinic where an apt must be made. these guys however were great. they got me in right away, understood my situation and saw that I was eagerly but appropriately and patiently weaning off my anxiety and sleep meds and provided me with the necessary essentials and information needed to continue on my journey to success. I have no room for resentment so the one somewhat negative experience I may have encountered at this clinic lets chalk up to a caring doctor looking out for the well being of his patients and if I leave you with anything from my experience frequenting this clinic the first few months its taken us to settle in to our new place it would be rock it. trust the process, they have quick to no waiting times, a hard working family feel staff tending to you and doctors who care and will help you as long as you are willing to help yourself. a special thanks to Dr. Yvonne and Dr. Freeman.

very disappointing experience with this clinic…read more This was my newborn baby's first follow-up appointment, and I expected professionalism, patience, and compassion. Instead, the doctor was extremely rude from the moment she arrived in room. Her attitude made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, and she seemed dismissive of my concerns as a new parent. The interaction was so unpleasant that I could not continue with the appointment. I chose to leave before the examination was completed because I no longer felt comfortable having this doctor care for my baby. A newborn's first medical visits are important and can already be stressful for parents. The last thing a family needs is to be treated with disrespect. I left feeling upset, frustrated, and disappointed. I would not recommend this doctor to other parents looking for compassionate care for their children.
