Let me begin with how satisfied I am with the education and great skills my son has received since beginning in February 2021. My 3 year old transitioned from a in home daycare to Safari Kids and with in the first week I noticed how talkative and more independent he improved on! The staff here really are very attentive with the children which has shown! I enjoy the fact that my son comes home everyday with a daily report that gives me a good insight of what he did for the day. Also, receiving hand made projects that were thought out & resembled the monthly topic from the newsletters that are emailed out are AWESOME! I am very happy with curriculum and decision with my son being in Safari Kids and am confident he will be beyond ready when he turns over to kinder.

Samples of my child's work. We don't need a pretentious Safari Kid Montessori to ruin her childhood nor her outlook of the world!

Very different compared to other schools I toured. We were placed on a waiting list, enrolled our daughter at another preschool in the meantime and and nearly 18 months later we got a call saying there was an opening for her. Our daughter is extremely shy and has anxiety. Mr. Justin was the head teacher in her class at the time and was so wonderful in guiding and helping her. We chose to keep her at MVM through kindergarten because our younger daughter was also attending and we didn't want to have 2 separate drop off/pick ups. Fast forward to 2025 and we have ended our journey with MVM. Our girls have really enjoyed their time at this school. They have learned so much more than we could have imagined and have made some great friends. In addition to reading, writing (cursive too!) and math, they have been taught how to work with each other and independently, daily life skills, grace and courtesy. The environment is always calm and organized. The teachers and staff are so sweet and it really feels like you're part of a family. There aren't enough words to express our deepest gratitude for all that the MVM staff and teachers have provided for our family.

I've seen so much growth and development in her over the years, starting from when they helped her with potty training in the toddler class to the confident, capable child she is today. The staff here are incredible--Mr. Justin, Ms. Monica, Ms. Toni, Ms. May, Ms. Louisa, and her wonderful toddler teachers have all made a lasting impact. My daughter is always so excited to go to school each morning, which says it all. I can't recommend Mission Valley Montessori highly enough--it's truly a special place.

But thanks to Teacher Mei, he adjusted surprisingly fast - within just a week! Now, after a month, he's eating by himself more, putting on his own shoes, and even starting to insist on doing everything "myself, myself!" Teacher Mei is amazing - super professional, observant, and really knows how to guide kids in just the right way. You can tell she genuinely cares about each child's growth, not just "watching" them but actually teaching them real life skills. Plus, she's bilingual in English and Mandarin, which is such a bonus. I feel so lucky to have found MSJCC. Highly recommend it to any parents looking for a place where your kid will not only be safe and happy, but also learn independence little by little.

She is a caring, patient, and professional teacher who truly understands children and knows how to guide them with both love and structure. Ms. Mei pays close attention to each child's needs. Whether it's a learning challenge or an emotional moment, she always takes the initiative to help and communicate with parents. Whenever I've had parenting questions, she patiently offers thoughtful, professional advice. Her support means so much to us. One of the biggest advantages of this center is the bilingual environment. Our child has developed strong skills in both Mandarin and English naturally, which we believe will benefit them greatly in the long run. We've seen some negative reviews, but honestly, some of them seem more like emotional venting than a reflection of the real situation. From our own experience, Ms. Mei and the staff here are truly dedicated and responsible. We highly recommend this center to other families

Our…read morejourney began when my son joined Ms. Angeline's class at 3.5 years old, after a disappointing experience at a chain private school. From the moment he started at MSF, we saw a remarkable difference. He was genuinely happy each day and looked forward to his "working time" at school. Ms. Angeline has a deep respect for each child as an individual. She nurtured our son's growth both academically and personally, helping him gain confidence in expressing his needs and tailoring projects to match his interests and developmental needs. The environment she created in the Evergreen B class was warm, engaging, and thoughtfully structured. Because of the incredible experience our son had, we decided to enroll our daughter at MSF as well. She joined Ms. June's class and also had a wonderful time. Coming from a full Chinese-speaking environment, the transition to an English-speaking classroom could have been challenging--but Ms. June, being bilingual, provided the perfect support. Our daughter was very shy at first, but Ms. June thoughtfully paired her with older, bilingual classmates and helped her adjust with care and patience. In less than half a year, school became her favorite place to be. We especially appreciated the school's community spirit and special events, such as International Week and Sharing Night, which brought families together and created lasting memories.

My main concern was with his teacher. Over two years, I didn't see meaningful effort to teach or support my son. Instead, the feedback I received was that "your child is not suited for Montessori" -- which felt less like a thoughtful assessment and more like a way to avoid working with him. A Montessori environment is supposed to meet a child where they are; that wasn't our experience. I also found the administrative side of the school to be inflexible in a way that didn't feel parent-friendly. On one occasion in two years, I was ~1 minute late at pickup due to traffic and was charged a late fee. A one-time delay being treated the same as a chronic issue tells you something about the culture. Other parents may have had a different experience, and I'm sure some children thrive here. Ours did not, and I wanted to share an honest account for parents who are weighing this school.

Looking at these staff I always felt my child is in good hands and highly recommend to any one looking for AMI style and clean place for your child to thrive. Occasionally they have performances too. They are probably the best part, and they should do more of them. All the tuition is worth it when they sang "My Beautiful Mommy". Luckily we'll still be seeing them, as our 2nd one is just starting her journey, and we can't wait to see how much she'll change.

Our older daughter was only there for about two months, but in that short time she genuinely thrived. Ms. July, the director, is consistently responsive and communicative, and any time we had a question or concern, she was quick to get back to us. He was at that time shy, hard to communicate with, and was overall stubborn with wanting to do what he wanted and when. As a father that always wants the best for his kids and worries about how they may acclimate to new places and experiences, I worryingly counted down the days until we ultimately had to let him walk through the threshold into Level Up. The initial drop offs were rough on us and him as he got used to new places and teachers, and every week I wondered if it was truly the right choice for us. However, thanks to the absolute patience, empathy from the staff here, and stunning attention to what our son needs and how to communicate most effectively with him he started to absolutely blossom. A kid that couldn't finish the ABC's was somehow talking in full sentences by the end of the year, telling his feelings in reaction to what we were saying to him, and somehow became the line leader of his entire group. While yes, some of this may have come naturally to him over time both my wife and I agree that this school has put him well over the top of academic and social expectations. He has become acutely aware and sensitive of others people's wants and needs, is quite the public performer thanks to the schools seasonal performances, and thanks to the learning curriculum is quite aware of how to conserve energy and help the earth thrive. While still the stubborn little guy he is, he continues to excel and be nurtured by the staff who is THE reason why we are still at this location. Ms. Shushma, the manager of this facility has lead her team in a way that is nothing more than admirable. It is clear during drop offs and picking up that she knows the personalities and needs of every single one of her students and makes sure that they are accounted for. Her door is always opened for questions, concerns, and she has always reached out with thoughtful ways on how to best take care of our son in the most respectful manner. Over the last year and a half she become one of the most influential people in our sons development, and we could not thank her enough for her time and energy. If you are looking for a care center where your child needs attention, patience, and a really fun place to play (the happy home indoor play area two doors down is really cool) I would highly consider the Fremont location. They do have parent-teacher conference to go over his progress and what still needs to be worked on. He is still not the best at sharing but he is learning. He enjoys the songs and dances that he learns from school. He is slowly getting better at the worksheets needing less assistance than before. He loves his alphabets and numbers. He knows how to read a couple of words. Our son has been in the middle of his potty training journey, but it's been difficult for him to use unfamiliar bathrooms. The teachers remind the kids on using the bathroom. The school has part-time and full-time enrollment. The teachers are always so nice and patient with him and the other kids. The school has occasional events/programs throughout the year that we are invited to watch as the kids have fun and perform what they have learned. We are so happy with his progress thus far.
