Yay me!…read more I was looking through the list of 'ministry-approved' driver education course providers on the MTO's website and found only three in Pickering. I started to research them and decided to go with Inter Driving Academy. They offer a 'Standard Course' which consists of 20 hours in-class, 10 hours of Home-Link and 10 hours in-car for $350.00. Since the in-class sessions were filled with kids that were mostly under 18, they were interesting and even entertaining at times... (no, the reason why the hood of your car has an emergency latch isn't so that people can't break in and get at your shit). C'mon, seriously?. But I digress. Marek, the instructor / owner, is professional and conducts his classes in an orderly fashion. He is extremely punctual both for the in-class and in-car sessions. All in all, a good experience. I took both my G2 and G tests as soon as I was eligible to do so and passed both with flying colours... "to tell you true"! ;)

So I finished my in-class before the driving portion of the class. Marek was an okay teacher…read more HOWEVER my driver for my in-car sessions was horrible. He was on time for all in-car lessons but he can be rather rough and rude. His car smells horrible and he always smokes before each lesson. He has absolutely no patience and you don't know what to expect when he picks you up for the in-cars, he can nice or extremely rude. During my last lessons, I was still making mistakes and obviously needed more practice (It takes me a while to learn things, but once I do I guarantee its 100%). He got on his phone for nearly half the class because I am guessing he didn't care anymore, rather than trying to set up more classes or offer more help, which I am willing to pay...He says "Don't go for your G2". The following day I signed up with another school for extra lessons, hopefully it will be a better experience. IF YOU HAVE NO EXPERIENCE AND YOU ARE A PERSON WHO NEEDS A LOT OF PRACTICE TO UNDERSTAND CERTAIN THINGS I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DRIVING SCHOOL AT ALL.

When we called after Christmas to set up driving hours, they said the school had closed but that they would honour the contract. In February, he started his in-car hours with John. But, when he had done 7.5 hours of his in-car lessons, John suddenly stopped returning his calls. My son keeps calling periodically but no response. Now what? I was told to go to the Ministry and see what they suggest. Perhaps another driving school can finish off his last 2.5 hours so he can get his certificate.

I work full time night shifts and I have a very busy schedule. Many times I try to schedule a set date and time with Vino, but all he can tell me is ex. "I'll call u on saturday around 3." Because he cannot give me a set time which is very inconsiderate.  2. When the saturday does come around I try my best to finish all my errands so when he does call me I am home, BUT he has either cancelled on me twice and very last minute, literally an hour before we were "scheduled."AND he is always 20-30 minutes late. 3. When the payment was fully made in class (and I can provide an invoice) I was promised a brand new honda but I would literally get picked up in Vino's old Mazda not a big deal but you cant pay for starbucks pricing and get mcdonalds. 4. When we did do the lessons Vino would sometimes call his gf and have a chat which is very unprofessional. 5. LASTLY, AND THE MOST IMPORTANT! We were done the lessons and I booked my g2 test  and told Vino the date and time as the in car lessons were finished and the course I paid for included the car for the test. Then he tells me, his car is broken and can no longer take me he didnt even offer to use another car or a refund on that part.  Honestly, this company is such a waste of money and for a person who makes an average income with bills etc 500$ is alot of money. I barely learned anything and I just went to a different school that got me my G2 the first time in vp and lawrence and will be doing my G with them. I'm not trying to ruin this company I'm sure Shane wouldve been better but  just stating my experience.
