We were told it needed a new engine, after 9 months were told that it wasn't covered under warranty because we couldn't prove it was a manufacturers defect even though the authorized Yamaha mechanic said it was, then have been waiting another 2 months to get the repairs complete. Communication has been horrendous. We were told it would be fixed on the 7th, then the 10th, then had to call every number we could find before anyone to respond and were told it won't be ready for this weekend, maybe next weekend. We will likely not get to use the boat at all this summer after they've had it for nearly a year. Worst purchase and customer service of our lives.

It's always so relaxing at Eastport, the staff is always friendly, and it's one of our favorite places to get away for the weekend that's not too far from home. This is definitely the "quieter" end of Pickwick lake which is really nice because the waves are so much less choppy and it's easier to dock your boat at the end of the day. My parents loved moving our family over to this end because it was safer for my younger sister to take out the jetski without fear of her getting run over or an accident happening. Definitely a friendly community that's a ton of fun to be around! It's hard to schedule boat cleanings and maintenance and to find someone to do it in a timely manner, which is common for Tishamingo county, but it is a hassle. The dock is a bit older so it's a tad run down but it's definitely safe. The only draw back to being on the "quiet" side of the lake is that you have to take your boat a good 30-45 minutes down the lake to go to dry creek or the falls where everyone hangs out and tethers their boats together for the day. there are some really fun hang out spots near by the marina but they're much quieter than the other spots on the lake. This end of the lake is also not as pricey for real estate and boat slips which is super convenient. They still have gas stations to fuel your marine crafts and a grill to grab a bite to eat!

We called around and our nearby marinas were closed, but Grand Harbor Marina's website said they were open until 5 PM. I called and talked to a real person who confirmed that they were open and selling gas until 5. We got here very close to empty at 4:05 PM. They were closed and the self serve pumps were turned off. It's bad enough that the website hours were wrong but even worse, I was lied to by the woman who answered the phone at the marina. We never would have left the house if she said they were closing at four.
