Safelite fixed a chip in my windshield a few years ago and I wasn't happy with repair as soon as it was done. I saw a feather crack on the crack that they repaired. He said that they guarantee their work. He said that they would pay $60 on new windshield if it cracks. It didn't take long until it cracked. I had Safelite put in a new windshield for me and then they didn't give me the $60 that he guaranteed if windshield repair cracked. Don't do business with this company as they are very crooked and don't fix shit right. I am missing a cover for my driver's side wiper arm that they broke and is missing. I thought I would give them a second chance but will be done doing business with them for life. read more

Our windshield installation appointment was rescheduled, safety systems were incorrectly calibrated, tried twice to get a chip repaired without success, and received horrible inconsistent customer service. Booked windshield replacement. Waited for tech from 1-5PM. Called when no one showed only to learn my appointment had been "unscheduled" due to tech not showing for work today. Reportedly tried to call my cell which was by my side all day with full signal and working fine. Wasted a full vacation day. Customer service rep was pleasant. I was coming through the Billings area. I had intended to have Safelite replace my windshield. But, contacting their local office proved impossible. Every number, even the local number, given to me by the national call center, went back to the call center. And, I know from experience that trying to find an in stock windshield and schedule timely installation for my semi needs to be done through the location that I am going to be using. It proved very easy to contact Speedy Glass. Late Monday afternoon I confirmed that they did have the windshield in stock, and set an appointment. First thing Tuesday morning two techs from Speedy Glass were at the truckstop to meet me. Windshield was replaced in about 15 minutes. GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT SERVICE! Safelite has lost a customer. Apparently when you make an appointment online for technician arrival between 8am-12pm, Safelite management does not consider this an appointment. The technician that called me telling me he would arrive in the afternoon was very polite. His manager blamed me for not including in notes that I needed an 8-12 time. Duh, I made the appointment for 8-12! I would have rescheduled if the manager had indicated that he cared about the schedule issue at all but he really didn't so I will just take my business elsewhere. read more

I had a great experience getting my windshield replaced on my Audi Q7. I had originally received a quote to pay with cash from the Safelite website, but then I called my insurance and they set up the appointment for me. When I went in, the cost Safelite told me was over $100 greater than the cash quote I got, and since both were under my deductible I was paying 100% out of pocket either way. They changed the job over to the much cheaper cash quote for me, did the work in about an hour and 45 minutes, cleaned all the windows, and vacuumed the front carpets. Make sure you check the difference between cash and insurance quotes! The windshield was not OEM, but it was made by the same company that provides OEM windshields to both Audi and Mercedes. read more

AMAZING! I thought I needed a new windshield (next year) when I got this rock chip that was roughly the size of a 50-cent piece. They did tell me right off the bat that during fills there is a chance that the windshield could crack further. And I understood completely. They were able to fill the rock chip and make it less noticeable. They were up front about the rock chip not being completely gone because of the size and the possibility of cracking my windshield further. Very honest people great work read more

My back windshield had an attempted break in but lucky the tint helped the completely shattered windshield stay together. Safelite helped me in a very timely matter, but unfortunately my 600 back windshield replacement doesn't include putting my back windshield on properly. Prior to my appointment the back windshield wiper was in place and functional, but after my appointment it has been hanging below the windshield. I have attempted to fix it myself but I don't have the equipment. It doesn't seem right for my car to have a problem after getting fixed that it didn't before. read more

I had my windshield and the side trim replaced in Arizona 4/5/2021 05000-21367 and am now in Central Montana near Lewistown and 100 miles from the nearest Safelite. The trim that runs along the side of the windshield on the driver's side blew off while I was driving unnoticed at the time, so it is lost. Safelite had replaced the trim and the clips with the windshield. In looking at the clips I saw that they had been damaged, probably at install. Suspecting that trim might be hard to get from the dealer, I discovered that it is backordered. I can make an appointment and drive to Billings to hear the bad news from safelite, then drive home, then return when the trim is available...if I have not returned to Arizona....or I could talk to a live person and make this efficient for everyone. Not gonna happen with Safelite. There is no way to talk to a live person! This kind of operation is incredibly frustrating and makes a warranty repair really, really expensive and difficult. Any other repair shop would have been better! Safelite, you need to fix this! read more
