I regret going here for my lessons. I needed help with one of the maneuvers which I found hard to execute. However when I told the driving instructor, he was not willing to listen to help me practice and learn it safely and in the end I still struggle with that maneuver. Also they charge you without telling you. I couldn't make it for an appointment and I messaged them about this to reschedule, but the receptionist scheduled a date without my opinion. KEEP READING ABOUT THIS RUDENESS. The very first day we signed up for this business the lady at front desk had me to sign a contact for my child. After signing everything she proceeded to try and only give me a copy of the back page with only the signatures. I asked her for a copy of the entire contract so that I could read it thoroughly upon arriving home. She replied "For what? The safety instructor will explain everything to your child once he starts the class!" She snatched the contract off her desk made a copy of it and slammed it back down on the desk and said "since you really need a copy for no reason". I figured she was just having a bad day and let it ride. Thereafter the bad information, miscommunication, and unbelievably forgetfulness started. My son already had his learners permit because we went through the parent taught driving lessons. She told us that we needed entire package because he still needed to take everything even though he already had his permit. This was a LIE but I had already paid so their was nothing that I could do (according to their contract). Every single time we went in for a driving lesson or classroom lesson she act like she had never seen us before, asked his name every single session, and also asked were we there to sign up as new students. The classroom portion is scheduled out So you have a set schedule. When it comes to the driving session portion of the contract the lady at the front desk told me there is NO schedule for this and it can take the school up to SIX MONTHS to get this portion complete. I wasn't happy about this and told her this would not work with my work schedule. She stated "you signed the contract and that's what it says in there". I had to call the school every single day to see if he could get scheduled for the two hour per session driving portion. This was a hassle!! It took us about six weeks to get him 17 hours of driving time. The very next day after my child completed his driving portion of the contract and I called the school and spoke with the lady at the front desk and told her my child had completed the classroom portion and the driving portion. I told her I would like to schedule him for the DPS road test. She act like she had never serviced us before. She stated she didn't know who we were and that I could come up to the school and sign him up for the road test. I explain to her he had already gone through their school and completed both of the classroom portion and driving portion and she should be able to find his name somewhere in their system. I asked her if their was anything that I needed to do or my child needed to do before we came up there so we could be fully prepared to sign him up for a road test. She said NO NOTHING and I could come at 10am that next morning. I arrived at this business at 9:45 AM. I sat there and waited until 11:30-ish a.m. for her to arrive. When I went in I told the lady I was the parent that she spoke with on the phone yesterday evening and she stated she had no idea who I was. By this time I am super irritated with her forgetfulness!! I asked her to look in there filing system for my sons name and see what she could find. After she found his folder she states she forgot to give me a two hour online course that my son was to complete before he could do the DPS test. Livid!!! We go to the car, completed the two hour video. Go back in she gives me a completely new contract and states I need to pay $100 for him to take the DPS test with her school. It's only $33 bucks to take the test with the actual DPS office!!!!!! As she's looking through my sons file she says "oh I forgot to give you a log sheet that your son was supposed to fill out after his driving hours. This needs to be filled out before he can take the DPS test and he needs 33 hours of this". I asked her why wasn't this giving to me at the beginning of our contract? With a boisterous attitude she screams at me and says he needs this paperwork filled out before he can take the driving test. Have him fill it out or find somewhere else for him to take the road test. I asked for the paperwork for him completing their driving and classroom portion of the contract so that he can go and take the test with DPS. Then asked for the owners information so that I can speak with them about the service. She started screaming at me saying that she was going to punch me in the face, slap me in the face, and saying she was from Africa and she does not play! THIS IS NOT A DRIVING SCHOOL, BUT A SCAM! Sad to say they got us for $500USD and we have nothing so show for it. All that got us was 2 poorly taught classes about 45 min each and a rigged to fail test to try and get us to come back and pay more. The staff is extremely rude including the owner and very hard to understand because of a heavy foreign accent. We tried to be patient and listen well however, he would not repeat himself and made it very difficult to work with and take any instruction from him. The chief rude person is the "receptionist". She acted as a bouncer to try and get us to leave as she would not answer questions. There was no documentation to show us where we failed the road test, but yet they said we failed, but would not show us where or why etc.. Where it was in the rules. We were simply told we failed. Her famous comment was "ask DPS if you have a problem with it" it is their rules. The owner is the ONLY Road Test Instructor and was very intimidating, shouting at the people and out right rude to us. If we hadn't already paid, I would have left... yes we did ask for our money back and they would not. GRRRRRRRR!!!!! Lesson learned! Research all reviews on multiple platforms! NOTE: Do not pay with a debit card as that is the same as cash. USE A CREDIT CARD as that way VISA or MASTER CARD will fight back for you and reverse the charges and help you dispute the charges. I will stop now as I am getting so upset writing this as it disturbs me so much to find out that they cheated us so much... We finally went to the good school, Fort Bend Driving school on Williams Trace Blvd. They only charge $410USD for 7 hours of training unlike this place for 2 hours!!!! Horrible customer service! The lady who answers the phone is rude and will not let you speak. She over talks you and does not listen to your concerns. She will tell you to read the contract or there is a $25 fee. When I called to confirm my appointment she asked why didn't you write it down. Took my 18-year old son here to take the road test. Everything went smooth. He passed the test the first time. The instructor was very nice and talked to my son prior to the test and extensively after the test explaining areas he could improve upon. The price seemed fair to me and we had no problems at all. The only disappointing thing is we did not know how this all works. After passing the road test, I thought he would be issued a temporary license at the school followed by his actual license arriving later in the mail, thereby avoiding a trip to the DPS. Let's face it, no one wants to go to a DPS office if there is any way to avoid it. Sadly, this is not the case. The school gives you a sealed envelope, which must then be taken to the DPS along with all the other stuff they require. It is there that the temporary will be issued. Of course, this is a DPS process and has nothing to do with the school. We had no problems with the Safety Center Driving School and recommend them! read more
