Reach paired her up with a 7th grade math teacher/tutor which worked great because she knew how to relate to 7th graders. In her last math test, she received one of the top 5 scores in her class. Without getting too complicated there are only certain degrees which qualify you for the license and they are in the areas of social science and education. At the time I knew I didn't want to to Psychology (because I believe it's mostly crap) or Sociology. While taking the Introductory Education class I had to tour different types of schools as part of the process. This was one of the places I toured, and to be honest had to be the WORST. The children weren't in physical danger or anything, and the place was clean enough but the standards are so low here I wouldn't even send the child of my worst enemy (if I had one) here! The program is below developmentally appropriate for children it's downright boring! Some places you can comment have to much push on children, this place has the opposite problem no push at all and what little art I saw was cookie cutter and didn't allow the children to learn basic data about colors and mixing. Parent's please please please don't send your children here. This place was so bad I think I'll even list is as one of the reasons I picked Anthropology instead.

The kids in there are very close and supportive of each other, and the staff is wonderful. It feels more like extended family than a childcare center. I never worry at work because I know my child is in good hands. It's also really nice that the head of the site stays in close contact with the teachers and principal at the school. She is aware of all school functions and after school activities, and is very accommodating to the kids who participate in after school sports & programs. My son is in the talent show every year, something he loves and wouldn't be able to do if he wasn't accompanied to the after school rehearsal's by a YMCA counselor. There are also pot luck parties and such so that the parents have a chance to get to know staff and other children in the program. I love this Y center and feel so lucky that my child gets to spend time here.

He was actually scared at first because he came from another afterschool, but the teachers welcomed him with so much warmth. They found him a good friend right away, and they also let him spend mornings with older kids. The older children take on small leadership roles, and the younger ones feel instantly included, which helped him adjust so quickly. The teachers are wonderful. 贾老师 is someone I see at every drop-off and pick-up, and it feels as if I am leaving my child with a loving relative. 乐老师 is also amazing with both math and Chinese. Since my son loves numbers, her teaching fits him perfectly. Thanks to her, he already knows multiplication tables for 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10 as a kindergartener. Every week he surprises me with new Chinese poems, songs, and characters he learned. I also love their weekly chess and phonic classes as well. The Chess teacher Mr. Gary is awesome, and my son always comes home excited to show the chess rules he learned. The academic structure is great. Each week he brings home organized packets for Math, English, and Chinese. They also have many teachers to support all the kids and their work. The learning environment is encouraging but never pressured. They balance manners, academics, and emotional support in the best way. Their transportation service also gives me peace of mind. We receive a daily photo, which reassures us so much. They even help during long weekends and school-off days. AllStar may be a school business, but they never act like one. It feels, they couldn't get all seats filled so to maximise their profit they moved the training to another date. Secondly, on the reschedule they advise a gift card for the last minute rescheduled and despite 4 emails since June, the supposed gift card is still to see the light of the day. This reached a state where they stopped replying. I reached out to scrum alliance to cancel such providers certification as they give a bad name to the entire institution of the scrum. This provider offered the training at the lowest cost and that's why I signed up so unless you cant afford the extra $100 to go with another provider, I wouldn't recommend Agile Strategic Solutions.

Day 1 of camp we find college student teaching. 2. The teacher uses bad language, cuss words in front of kids. The center director, Jennifer is clueless. She cannot even see the cuss word on the screen . Further she takes no accountability for her staff or what is happening under her nose. If you raise an issue or give her feedback she will not listen, will only argue. 3. They have no lesson plans. Out of 3 hours (for which they charge a whopping $300 per week) the teacher teaches for about 20 min and the rest of the time is free play. Kids are going on YouTube and playing games. No supervision. When asked for lesson plan, evaluations or how the kids can practice, it took them 4 days to come up with some thing. 4. In week 2 we arrive on Monday to find she has changed the program from python 201 back to python 101 since she has new students who have not done python 101. None of the parents were informed or given headship. 5. I had enough of the mis management and ineptitude and decided to withdraw my kid. She refused to refund money. Poor work ethics, absurdly mis managed. Save your time and money.
