Attended my first BLS class here, this was my fifth BLS recertification. My biggest complaint is…read morethe amount of chest compressions we were made to do. Three sets of compressions would have been enough. We were made to do 8 sets of chest compressions on the floor. Thirty compressions and two breaths three times is a set. 90 compressions 8 times. The Instructor let us know at the beginning she didn't teach the class like other instructors did. That was true, we received a lot of stories from her days as an EMT and a work out. This instructor was a very large person and I have no doubt she could push hard enough to give compressions. However, she did maybe 10 of them. I weigh 104lbs, in an emergency adrenaline would kick in and I'm confident I am capable of high quality CPR. Sitting in a small cold classroom with 7 strangers watching did nothing to benefit anyone. You might think it would at least be a quick class but no, we were there for three hours with no book, videos or information sheets. Take a class here if you would like to take frustrations out on a dummy and watch an "instructor"drink Dutch bros for 65 dollars.
