WORST pharmacy in the area. Very poor customer service. Refused to fill my rx on the day it was due and then refused to transfer it to another pharmacy. They show zero respect to their customers medication needs. New medications don't get counseling and their attitudes indicate they're doing you a favor spending your money with them. AVOID if you value your health or a caring pharmacist. I'd rather go through mail in. I was forced to change from Prosser pharmacy due to an insurance change and they were fantastic. read more

Customer service in the pharmacy. Look if you don't have a medication in stock call and let the person know don't waste a persons time especially someone who is running out of time. Just because it's the pharmacy does not mean you are not in customer service. Just because the pharmacy in these stores make the stores a lot of money does not mean you can be rude and inconsiderate of customers. That department makes a lot of money so why not staff it so you can answer the phone. After 4 calls that all went to a voicemail that was not taking messages I try it by hitting another button as a doctors office and then the pharmacist picks up . At this point I am angry and explain the situation. The pharmacist instead of being good at customer service or apologizing for the mess comes right at me mocking me . Keep in mind she is doing this in front of staff and any customers that are in line. This not professional or any way shape or form customer service. I will NOT be getting my medication here or shopping at Safeway. Me and my family have been shopping at Safeway back when it was near the post office . read more

I think this store is in a great spot! I love the location. The gas station is located in the back of their large parking lot. It is a little cramped, but when you gotta get gas.. where do ya go? The lay out is very simple and like most Safeways. One side has the produce the other had the Deli. The Bakery is located next to the Deli... and everybody is so helpful! The bakery is always so gorgeous! They have a case set up with gorgeous, extravagant looking cakes and then some set up outside the case to grab & go. Don't be afraid to ask them to write on your cake! It's free for that special moment! The bakery tables extended toward the back of the store.. they have a large variety of baked goods set up for any occasion. Gorgeous!! I like the selections for the hot case. Hot food in an instant! I like their fried chicken.. I could eat that for days!! They do an amazing job keeping everything clean & welcoming & fresh! Starbucks is just a few steps away. They are always working hard & fast. My favorite barista, Rhapsody, always makes my drinks too perfection. I got to talk with Esmeralda, in the floral department. She was working hard helping customers and putting together arrangements... she handed off a beautiful arrangement to a customer and he was so happy... It made me happy seeing someone leave with a beautiful work of art. Everything in between is simple to find and well organized. I love coming to Safeway because the interaction with the employees is quality service. They are more genuine and I feel like I could make friendships vs. just being a passing by customer that is here daily. read more

Great Chain pharmacy!! They are helpful and never make you feel rushed or inconvenienced by helping or answering questions.

Safeway is one of the places I missed the most when I lived in Texas. They have the best selection and some great inventory, it's usually pretty well stocked and the staff here are friendly. That being said, I always run into someone here because it is literally one of the only grocery stores in Grandview. They have a Starbucks inside, which gets them one star, they are open pretty late...for Grandview, they have great displays and a full deli with lots of hot food choices and pretty good customer service. The bakery is where it's at though, you can pick up fresh bread every day, or order a cake from them, and I have not been disappointed. You will pay a premium though for some of the items, unless you opt for the Safeway brand, but that's pretty common. So stop by if you are in need of some snacks, getting ready for a BBQ or plan to fix up a wine tasting platter. They have a great assortment of cheeses, fresh fruit, fancy crackers and some deli meats that you can put together for a delicious wine platter. read more

Not sure what has happened to the customer service at the Grandview Safeway. I have been going there for years and go a couple times a week and never had a problem until this week. I was harassed and verbally abused not only by the cashier but also by the manager. Worst part about it is that the cashier screamed at my 12 year old daughter in front of the whole store. disgusting! read more

This places saves my behind when headed back home. Coming from the land full of Whole Foods and Trader Joes, is like preparing for the backwoods when coming out here. Choices are few and this is the best an newest grocery store between Prosser and Yakima. There's no way I'll ever set foot into the hopeless hell-portal that is Walmart of sunnyside. Sadly the majority of populations diet is reflected here and thus lack in veggie selection. All other areas are good and even carry some vegetarian items. read more

I went to Safeway for lunch recently, because it is so close to work. Normally $1.00 for a chicken leg is a perfectly reasonable price. But for this specimen, I don't really believe that to be the case. Don't buy things by the count, buy them by the actual mass you're getting. read more

When people ask me what's in Grandview I always tell them that we have a nice Safeway, which they get a good laugh at... but it's true if you compare it to the one that we used to have. Actually, the old one is one of the first places my mom made me drive to the minute I got my license and I ended up scraping up her car. That's neither here nor there. This new one is clean, has a huge parking lot, and a Safeway Gas Station which always has the cheapest gas in town and the people always know you're name.... Cheers. read more

why is this store so confused?? because it's so difficult to fully staff and train at this store. while this is a newer and more attractive store, the customer experience can be highly inconsistent. i shopped at this store earlier today, was given the wrong order, and returned around 6:30 pm. the customer service desk was closed, and the cashiers next to the service desk either rudely ignored us, or informed us that we should just go home and come back some other day. went over to the deli counter, and after much effort, they were able to process a refund and get the correct order. however, in the interim, they too were told that it was not possible and suggested we come back tomorrow. do they really want you here?? read more

The Safeway sandwich servers a few weeks ago were extremely rude and incompetent at the sandwich counter. Won't go back there.

It's the nicest & biggest Safeway in the lower valley & the Starbucks here makes great lattes.

Love the groceries. Love the gas prices. DO NOT like the floral department. I was in there recently and one of the people working the floral department told me flat out there was no way I could put together an arrangement that would be appropriate. Only SHE could create an arrangement to give as a gift and it would cost me $25 for her services.... (Really? I was about to purchase $50 in flowers, she couldn't throw her arranging in for free like every other Safeway and QFC that I shop?) I put all my flowers back, and purchased an $8.00 plant. Take THAT Safeway. Oh and yes, I have put together 2 very beautiful arrangements since that visit, and all of the floral purchases were made at other grocery stores. Although I will continue to shop at this Safeway, as I do like this store....I most probably would not purchase floral there ever again. Nor would I recommend it to anyone. Take that back, the flowers are probably fine but the employees in the department aren't my cup of tea. read more
