The pharmacy at Safeway needs to hire people who can read a date. They literally put my husband in the hospital. They filled medicine we didn't need and lied and said the doctor canceled his meds. The doctor said he never canceled them. They could have killed my husband with there negligence. He has parkinsons and they straight up messed up most of our medications. Do yourself a favor take your business elsewhere. I find most of them to be rude and incompetent. read more

Its clean and small and has all the basics. The fruits and veggies were old and wilty. Not the selection we are used to from other Safeways we have been to. Not thrilled at all. read more

Great little grocery store on the east side of town. No it's not a Walmart but there is a nice selection. Saves you having to drive across town and they have a well rounded produce and liquor area. Also the deli has some great things to order. There is now a Starbucks inside this supermarket as well. read more

Deli does not have any bread except whole wheat sliced bread. Does not Hae onions for sandwiches. No avocados. Bakery does not make baguette like other safeways. The deli operator was untrained and had to ask how to do anything. Save for the Starbucks counter this place needs help. read more

Ordered 2 gigantic cakes with fruit filling and whipped icing, for 200 people. Everyone loved it as the cake was really moist and filling was great! Cakes were ready on time and just the way I ordered them. Will order again for large functions. read more

I largely don't shop at the local Safeway anymore--I don't remember a time when I've gone into the store and not had a queue of 5 or more people in each of the two open check stands. Enough business obviously exists to hire more checkers as I always have to wait ten to fifteen minutes to purchase my groceries but obviously my time is not as valuable to the store as it is to me. Safeway's prices do not justify such ridiculous wait times; although I generally enjoy the variety of products available at the store, the higher cost and long wait times to check-out do not represent a good value for my family. The cost of Safeway's products is on-par with local grocers that staff their stores correctly. Make no mistake--the workers that are present are pleasant and professional and do announce over the speaker that more help is needed, there just isn't enough staff to effectively serve the customers in the store. Whether by store manager incompetence or because of some austere company policy, there just aren't enough people working at the store to serve the customers in a timely manner. Knowing how much money I've spent at Safeway and seeing the store so understaffed that shopping there is downright inconvenient is, frankly, insulting. read more
