So disappointing! I love supporting local health stores wherever I am and I really dislike leaving…read morecrappy reviews. However, this one is noteworthy. I went here to purchase some produce five days ago. No produce, so I purchased kombucha and almond oil for cooking. Got home and opened up the almond oil and right away, it smelled rancid. I was unable to return until today. My friend and I went in to return and I told the woman that it was rancid. She immediately looked under the bottle and said it wasn't expired. I told her it doesn't matter, it smells rancid and I'd like to return it, please. She continued to argue with me and went to grab a FACIAL ALMOND oil, opened it and told me she was going to purchase this, but she wanted to prove something to me and she said they smelled the exact same. They ABSOLUTELY DID NOT smell the same. Rancid oil has a DISTINCT smell. I have used almond cooking oil and it has NEVER smelled like this, rancid. I mean, totally unprofessional and bad for business, this woman was unbelievable. I said, ask someone else to smell it, but she refused and continued to disagree and argue with me. She said, I don't know how to refund to your card and the owner is out sick. No problem, cash is fine. She "snarkily" set/tossed my money on the counter, which solidified her bad attitude! My friend who was there for the first time, couldn't believe how she was acting. Embarrassing for this business, I'd say. She is bad for business and needs a serious attitude adjustment! Hopefully the owner makes sure she pays for that facial almond oil she opened. Sadly, we won't be back to support this local business.

I like this store and think the manger is helpful the people in the pharmacy needs to learn some…read moremanners and not be so rude. The turn over rate in the pharmacy is terrible. Hire people who can at least be polite.

we've been into the Safeway many times and the cashier that we dealt with today we've dealt with…read moremany times and he's always been on the rude side well today. He was extremely rude. The lady in front of us had 12 packs of sodas and he was hitting them down hard with a sigh of discussed because he had to walk around the counter and use his little scanner tool and just absolutely rude uncalled for we got up there, and he was slamming our fruit down, pretty hard, not did not say hey how are you today or go screw yourself nothing very discouraging for someone who works in the customer service and his name is Balint so today he may not have liked his job or he doesn't like his job not a happy person. Next time we go I'll make sure I don't go through his line. Rude absolutely rude.

The fresh fruit. bakery, and dairy sections were great, but the deli area was a little disappointing, there were some things that were at or beyond their expiration date, and the choices were limited. It might have been owing to timing during the day. Prices were pretty consistent with other stores, the self-check-out worked, although one person "lost" his change in the machine and the employees monitoring the area were nice enough to help him find it without any hassles. One thing I did notice during my visits: This is a busy store, but the checkout lines move quickly.
