Never used this service personally but had an experience this morning with one of their drivers. While on my way to work I was going through the intersection of Cottonwood Ln. and Arizola (Note I had the green light) and one of Safeway Transportations vehicles (AZ lic. no. BHV8320) blew through the stop light, turning from Arizola onto Cottonwood Ln. not stopping at all. And... THEY HAD A PASSENGER IN THEIR CAR!!! They almost hit me as I was in the intersection and they kept on going!! This was at 8am in the morning with heavy traffic. I would never, ever use this company for myself or recommend it to anyone EVER!!! If I could give zero stars I would. read more

After missing our flight in Tucson, AND our shuttle being stranded in the middle of the freeway on our way to Phoenix, we looked on Yelp for a van to transport us to the airport. I recently had a really embarrassing situation where my license was suspended without my knowledge. I had to figure out some kind of transportation to get to my work and home for about a week and a half until I could take the driving class. All of the staff at SafeWay Transportation/Wheelz was wonderful to deal with, and Manny as my most frequent driver was absolutely awesome! They are comparably priced to Uber and Lyft and yet provide that personal touch (you get to talk to a live human to set up your travel appointment, for instance) and are much less than a traditional mega taxicab service like YellowCab. They even drove me all the way to Tucson and came down there to bring me back six hours later! I have them on speed-dial just in case I should ever need their services again, and what is funny is that my husband had previously used them and we didn't know it was the same company because of the name change, but he liked them too! I was interested in using this car service, but I must say so far not impressed. First I tried to contact them requesting information on their services and prices. Never heard back, then I tried to contact them via telephone. No answer, just an answer machine, which was full. Seems to me I would not be able to count on them to be picked up. I will try one more time and than I am done with it and will find another car service. read more

Really good most of the time. Sometimes can be really rude and just hang up on you. And have a lot of attitude when they answer the phone. Sometimes the cab will come and they won't let you know. They really just need a new person to answer the phones. Because who ever answers has no good Customer service. read more

My husband took this taxi service today. The driver seemed confused about where to drop him off. He actually dropped him off somewhere else due to not understanding where to go. With all the misunderstandings he left his wallet in their car. He called and spoke to a woman who dispatches and she said she did not dispatch to the area he was dropped off at. After looking at phone calls and records their company was the only one who was called, so it had to be someone from that number who was dispatched out. I see good reviews and bad, we were hoping this was a stand up company after seeing the good reviews. As of now still waiting to hear about the wallet. That wallet contained everything we have. We hope the driver does the right thing. read more

Awful service and extremely unprofessional. Wedding party verified cabs would be available to our location the night of the wedding and what time they would be in service until. Come the night of, we are told there is no one available and were hung up on as we were trying to find rides. I would recommend you NEVER use this service and especially don't trust them if you're relying on them to get you where you need to go. read more

Call for car at 9:40 and was told 45 minutes an hour and a half later I called back again and I'm told that I have an attitude problem because I'm annoyed that they are late again. And when I tried to tell him that I had called at 9:40 he tried to tell me no and that if I didn't like to wait that I could go ahead and call somebody else because he started at 10 and there was still another ride ahead of me was extremely rude and then goes on to inform me that if I can wait another 15 minutes that he would give me the ride for free. I told him I didn't want to ride for free I just needed to know how much longer it was going to be and that's the response I got that was 35 minutes ago and still the driver has not shown. Same thing happened 2 days ago they they come dispatcher whose attitude was way out of line and apparently does not know the difference between 45 minutes and two and a half hours. Not sure what happened to this company but in the last year it's going down the toilet because some of the drivers are extremely rude some don't show up at all and I believe you're bothering them if you call back a second or third time to find out why there late beyond the time given. read more
