We got to this restaurant shortly before they closed for the evening. Recommend the chaat samosa ... it was delicious and ate all of it. However, we did not save room for the entrees so ate a little and took the rest home with us for lunch. If you like Indian food this is definitely the place to eat in Twin Falls!! read more

We went to this restaurant based on the number of outstanding reviews. However, we had a different experience. The service was good but only one waitperson for the entire restaurant running around. The food was not good. The cauliflower starter was very breaded and we couldn't taste the cauliflower. The samosas were similar -lots of breading and mushy interior. We ordered tikka masala mild and it was very spicy. The chicken was tender. We got Dahl soup and it was cold. We sent it back and tasted it - it was watery like gruel. Most of the food was inedible. It was very spicy and the sauce was not good. The only reason I ate it was because I was so hungry and had to eat something. They had no raita, only plain yogurt. The naan was the only thing that was tasty but they didn't give us very much. Just a few bites. The only reason they get two stars was for the service. The food was stellar here at Saffron Falls! Who knew that in the middle of Idaho, you could find authentic and special Indian food? Was visiting for a business trip and we came back here twice. The food was outstanding. The Punjabi Chana Masala was amazing. I got it Indian hot and it brought a joyful tear to my eye! Stopped by on New Years Day on our way through and had an absolutely splendid meal including delicious VEGAN dishes. Kindest service too.

First is it for lunch and it blew us away. The décor and vibe of the place was great. Service was prompt and wonderful and the food was fantastic. Wow, we did not expect the food to be so creatve and flavorful. We started with the Cauliflower appetizer which was the best I have ever had. Florets in a chickpea batter, drizzled with a creamy edamame sauce and a spicy peanut sauce, all beautifully plated. Then I spotted a dish on the menu that I have never seen in an indian restaurant before. Tandoori Mushrooms on Polenta. Several kinds of mushrooms sauted with indian spices and served over a pool of creamy polenta. The flavor and presetation just knocked it right out of the park! Some chicken curry and garlic nan followed. The curry sauce was dark and deep and a little sweet. Once again, unexpected and delicious, made with chicken thighs that were so tender my fork just melted through them. Even the Nan was remarkable with a crispy bottom, a puffy, buttery top and a generous scattering of garlic. And it was all served in a timely manner with a smile! I have been wanting to eat here for a long time as I love Indian food so much. My husband took me for lunch today and we loved it so much! The dining room is so elegant, yet cozy and very welcoming and comfortable with warm colors and rich fabrics. The service was very polite and helpful. We almost felt at home. The food was excellent. I had the butter lamb and masala chai. The chai was heavenly, so sweet and gingery. The butter lamb was rich and tender. I ordered it mild and it was still very flavorful. My husband had the lamb curry and he ordered it as spicy hot as they would make it. He was very pleased. The presentation of both dishes was beautiful. Last Saturday was my first time eating at Saffron. I have never been a huge fan of Indian food, however I was still open to trying it~ especially since a lot of my friends recommended it. I was able to try the Chicken Curry (medium spice), Mills Matar Paneer, the rice and the Naan . I actually loved them all more than I have ever loved Indian food before. The portions were big (very shareable and enough for leftovers) and it all tasted so good! Surprising find of the freaking century - a delicious Indian restaurant in Twin Falls Idaho. Flavors are super strong but not stupid heavy or oily. I highly recommend the aloo gobi and lamb curry. Everything tasted super fresh. Naan and paratha came out crispy and hot. My only advice is to cut the chicken into smaller pieces in the butter chicken. Ok, where is the six star button. This place deserves more than just five stars. I moved to Idaho 5 years ago and my search for adequate Indian food has been fruitless. Until now that is. One caveat, I came at lunch alone, so I only sampled one dish, the methi chicken, but it was outstanding. Perhaps the best Indian dish I have ever had, and Indian is my favorite cuisine. It was close to perfect. Tender chicken, tons of wonderful spices, perfectly cooked rice, and warm naan. Plus, the portions were more than adequate. And the server was awesome. Couldn't have been more pleasant and got the spice level just right. I visit Twin Falls every two weeks and will be found here each time. read more

It tasted amazing but only thing which I didn't like is that I tasted 1 bite of under cooked potato. But apart from that samosas were good and condiments perfectly matched the samosas. Punjabi chole and matar paneer are the best in business. Amazing taste and texture. Cooked till the perfection. Nothing undercooked or overcooked. If you want then they'll also adjust the spice level. We ordered a medium spicy and it was just fine for our taste. Perfect blend of spices and taste. Rasmalai was too good as a dessert. We chatted a bit with owner of the restaurant. He's amazing as a chef and owner. Passing through Twin Falls and saw a 5 star Indian restaurant. Wasn't expecting that, but so glad we stopped. We ordered "Medium Spicy", and I have to say, we are glad we didn't go spicier. I read through the other reviews and personally don't understand. I have had an opportunity to enjoy Indian food throughout the U.S. and this has to be some of the most unauthentic Indian food restaurant I have ever eaten and very inconsistent. We have eaten at this location five times now and leave more disappointed after each visit than the time before. Their food is so inconsistent. This evening we went to celebrate a birthday and everything was so disappointing. Naan was soggy, samosas were over cooked, Chicken Tikka Masala had a puddle of oil and the Aloo Gobi was too soft and over cooked. We are home now with all of us feeling nauseated and with stomach issues. For $80 this is most disappointing. We have decided at this point that this will be our last visit. read more
