This is a great little spot in downtown, really happy to have some unique cultural options here since it's a little limited. Back in my hometown there are a lot of different Indian restaurants so it's nice to move to a new state and see that these guys are doing things, right! Everything we've tried is so flavorful and delicious the stews are so juicy. It's hard to stop lol. The non-bread is amazing so soft and tasty, I can't go there without getting a side of it! We also like that this is a small local business that we can support while enjoying their awesome offerings. Service is good to always a smile, very attentive and polite. When we first came, I wasn't too sure because I'm not a big curry fan but they actually had a lot of options besides curry. I read through the other reviews and personally don't understand. I have had an opportunity to enjoy Indian food throughout the U.S. and this has to be some of the most unauthentic Indian food restaurant I have ever eaten and very inconsistent. We have eaten at this location five times now and leave more disappointed after each visit than the time before. Their food is so inconsistent. This evening we went to celebrate a birthday and everything was so disappointing. Naan was soggy, samosas were over cooked, Chicken Tikka Masala had a puddle of oil and the Aloo Gobi was too soft and over cooked. We are home now with all of us feeling nauseated and with stomach issues. For $80 this is most disappointing. We have decided at this point that this will be our last visit. read more

All the food was amazing and had wonderful Indian flavors. You can taste that they use good herbs and spices. Best Indian food in Twin hands down. EXCELLENT INDIAN FOOD. Meat is tender and heavenly. AND OH MY, they have the BEST EVER chili sauce on the side if you want your food spicy enough for you. The chili sauce is fresh red chilies blended up. THAT'S IT. We loved it so much they even gave us a small takeaway container of a new batch of it. You have to go here. Enjoyed a lovely dinner here after a long day hiking. We were the only ones on a Wednesday evening, and enjoyed a lamb curry, butter chicken, and the tandoori mushroom dish (all mild). The lamb curry was cooked extremely well and hugely flavorful, complimented by the basmati rice that came with the dish. The butter chicken was a bit dry but when mixed with the sauce, came out ok, and the mushroom dish was by far my favorite. With 4 mushroom varieties (shitake, portobello, trumpet, crimini) and each of them cooked to perfection, hitting that sweet spot of oh-so-barely burnt, this dish was my favorite by far. The polenta bed it came on meshed beautifully with the dish as well. All in all, a great place to eat in Twin Falls! read more

Don't pass this one by. I was pleasantly surprised by this break in culinary monotony nestled in Twin Falls historic downtown. Garlic naan was the perfect segue into Methi chicken that played a balancing act between savory and spice. I wish I had dined in rather than ordering to go. This place turned out to be perfect for my wife and I passing by Shoshone falls and needed to grab lunch. They serve the best Indian food, vegetarian options available and the paneer matar was delicious and state of the art. Very nice service. If you are here for lunch, and feel the need to have more quantity of the sabji, you can always ask for dinner menu, which has same sabjis but a little more $ and tons of quantity (1 sabji is more than enough for two). Gulab Jamun dessert was also state of the art! They have dine in option as well, probably not yet updated on Yelp. read more

Ok, this is simply absurd to say, but... ... hands down the best dinner we have had since Covid began. Likley one of the best food experiences we have had, hands down the best Indian food of my life. We live in the greater Seattle Tacoma area, and there is no lack of good and sometimes great restaurants, including Indian and Nepalese/Himalayan (see my reviews on Karma and The Himalayan Cafe.) My family is not unfamiliar with cuisine from that area of the world, and we have eaten everywhere from street food in South America to The French Laundry and The Herb Farm. Saffron is simply lovely. Besr Yelp find ever (thank you fellow Yelpers!!!) Passing through Twin Falls en route to a family reunion in UT. Asked our son to get on Yelp and find something tasty. The reviews here speak for themselves... anyway, after checking in to our hotel, we made our way downtown to find Saffron, where one other family was seated (they turned out to be regulars and love the food...) We were seated promptly and attended to by the owner. We ordered Lamb Curry, Chicken Methi, and a Paneer and Pea dish, along with an appetizer of Samosas and some garlic naan. Let's start with the samosas. Now, samosas are rarely fresh, sometimes downright frozen eggroll quality, and only occasionally worth the price... these, well... these were simply spectacular. Homemade, fresh, spicy and fragrant, the dough was flaky and crisp, the filling a perfect belnd of meat and spice. Best samosas ever, hands down. Now, the main dishes themselves. Really, there is nowhere to begin. All 3 were fantastic. We could not decide which was best. The freshness of the spices was apparent. The lamb curry was warm and inviting, spicy and sweet and savory. The chicken was incredibly flavorful. And the paneer and sauce was as good as anything I have ever ordered, anywhere, and that is not hyperbole in the least. And, unlike most Indian restaurants, even great ones, the plating of these dishes was superb, thoughtful in the placement of the proteins, clean plating... plus very generous proportions. The owner himself was remarkably generous and talkative, and it went from being a road trip dinner in a foreign town, to being a delightful meal and evening, well paced, just a really exquisite time. I really cannot say enough good things about tbe food... we will swing out of our way each road trip just to eat here. One of the previous reviews said the same, and my initial reaction was that's nice if not a bit exaggerated... now I know, ans I mean it, this is a gem well worth the trip. As an Indian myself, this is some of the best Indian cuisine that I have had, at least in a long time. The methi chicken was absolutely delicious. It was some of the best meth I chicken that I have ever had. The mutton curry was also delicious. The mutton was so tenser that you could cut it with a spoon. The onions and masalas were also probably caramelized. If you ever plan to visit the twin falls (which are gorgeous by the way), this place is a must. read more

I was so happy to notice Saffron on my way to Twin Beans. My friend and I went in for lunch and had a great experience. The food was excellent and as a super wonderful surprise they brought us each out a chai tea. Great service! We both had a vegetarian Thali plate. New owners / new chef simply don't execute food at the same level as the original who left for Ketchum. We've dined here more than a handful of times after the switch and are underwhelmed each time. The food now, is average at best which is unfortunate. I think it's off me list for now. read more

Saffron Indian Cuisine was such a pleasant surprise! Just happened to be driving by and decided to make a quick stop! Wow! It will be a stop I make every time I'm in Twin Falls! The service was quick and genuine! She took time to explain the menu, give me a bit of her personal background (which I love) and come back just enough times to check on me after my food was delivered. First I ordered the samosas... that's a must for me at every Indian restaurant I stop at! They were excellent! Just the right size, seasoned well and all three sauces were quite delicious. I personally find that like one, maybe two of the sauces served but all three of these were really good! I also enjoyed the Malabari shrimp... The heat (level 4) was just right as was the amount of rice. The presentation was delightful and the chef even came out to make sure it wasn't too hot for me! As I got up to leave the manager/owner (maybe?) invited me to sit for a moment at his table. He was kind enough to introduce me to a couple regulars and invite me back soon. It was a lovely, unexpected lunch and I'll definitely stop again. Surprising find! We were just passing through on a long road trip and found this place based on all the great yelp reviews. Kind of skeptical that Twin Falls ID would have Indian food that would impress 3 long time New Yorkers but we were all pleasantly surprised. We ordered the lamb and chicken curry and the vindaloo, samosas, garlic Naan, and mango Lassi. The entrees were all very flavorful and large in quantity, the samosas were some of the better ones I've had and the garlic Naan was to die for. The mango Lassi was much richer than im used to and quite tasty. The food came very very quickly and the wait staff was very kind. I highly recommend this place. read more

This place is superb! We went on a Saturday not long after they opened. While other new restaurants in town will make excuses for poor service or poor food quality because they 'just opened,' these guys nailed it right from the start. The place was full when we arrived so we had a short wait for a table, but we were heartily greeted by the owner and the waiting area had comfortable chairs. After ordering, we had an average wait time for our food even though they were very busy. Staff checked on us several times during that time. But the food. Oh my goodness, if I could give it 6 stars I would! The food is absolutely amazing. I had lamb curry, my wife had butter chicken, and we had garlic naan. (Actually we started with desert - rossomalai, and mango lassi.) Everything was perfect! The presentation was awesome but most importantly the food was excellent. It's been a long time since I said "mmm" all the way through a meal in Twin Falls. I'm so glad to have real Indian food in town, and I hope we have Saffron for a long time to come! read more
