TLDR: If I could give Shaina more than 5 stars, I would!! She makes Reiki 1 and 2 training seamless, interesting, and a powerful experience. Attainable even for someone who was mostly skeptical like me. I am training to be a holistic esthetician. What this means is I aim to have practice where I heal individuals through an integrative, 'root cause' approach. Ultimately: Skin. Mind. Soul. --Background & My Reason for Training I am going to school for skin + getting my Naturopathy Practician Certificate. For Mind and Soul, I wanted to add another alternative practice and I chose Reiki because my esthetician friend is also certified and I always leave the treatment room feeling amazing after a facial. Little did I know, learning to be Reiki Practitioner would also touch other areas of my life that I didn't realize would come back full circle! Crystal healing, working with a pendulum, even oracle cards and mediumship -- all things I thought were behind me suddenly showed up! The universe was definitely at work. So thankful I found my way to her. --Training & Experience Reiki Level 1 was through Zoom (my choice) and it was chilling (and I admit a bit spooky) to feel energy being used from Shaina and even myself, through being taught on a Zoom call. I kid you not, I had goosebumps and strangely wanted to just cry at certain parts with how 'right' it all felt. Apart from that, you can tell Shaina knows her stuff with how she taught the history, approach, and practice of Reiki. I can tell because she barely reads her slides and just uses them as a starting point, and gives you real world and modern examples to connect with what she's teaching. She never gives you the feeling like she's Teacher and you're Student, if you get what I mean. She's teacher and you're student, the line to questions and such is an open one. Reiki Level 2 was in person and even more chilling and exciting. I was nervous to actually be doing the healing on others (1 long distance, 1 in-person model), but it was such a powerful experience. Shaina was right beside me the whole time, an encouraging presence, and stepping in just when I needed it. --Conclusion If you feel called -- Book a session. If you feel called to train -- YES!
