The staff behind the counter was rude and immediately said "well if it's about the money," and I abruptly told them it had nothing to do with the money it had to do with it was the wrong treatment plan for my husband. We were trying to find a new dental office in West Palm Beach but highly disappointed! We were told we would get an initial exam and then a teeth cleaning. After 2 hours, still no teeth cleaning, but a huge "recommend treatment plan" which included a deep cleaning with anesthesia and several crowns. All which would cost $4000-$6000. When I would not sign this as it stated that I would agree to the plan AND financial responsibility, I was told I was "dismissed". I'm not even sure who that was, but I think possibly the office manager, who was very rude. The entire office seemed like it was just about getting more patients. They had a sign in the lobby about patient retention and a screen in the office that looked like it was only meant for the staff about getting the most patients. Sage dental of Wellington: I started process for partial dentures September 2024. I received the wrong partials December 2024. I returned the partials. I have been trying to receive a refund for the wrong partials since December 2024. The office constantly makes up lies and excuses as to the status of my refund. The office has no intentions on refunding me even though it was a lab error. I have currently filed a grievance with my insurance. I am currently filing a complaint against them with the Florida board of dentistry and I am currently contacting an attorney to assist me with getting a refund. I did not want the suitation to go this far. However I do not have a choice because I feel that they have scammed me and the insurance company and instead of refunding me they choose to constantly lie and avoid the suitation. Sage Dental of Wellington is one of the worst Dental office to go to for any type of dental work. They are a complete scam and customers should be aware of their office. I'm an out of state student and received no indications prior to my visit that this dentist would need a full mouth x-ray prior to a cleaning and exam. I spent an hour and a half waiting today and had to continuously approach the front desk for updates on insurance verification and if they had received my records, this should be more proactive prior to my arrival. After Sage received my medical records with bitewings and panel images the dentist refused to see me because she wanted a full mouth x-ray that would not be covered by my insurance. My dental office back home could not understand why they would not see a healthy patient with the images that were provided. Instead, the Dentist at Sage Dental would rather expose you to unnecessary radiation and astronomical prices for images that aren't medically necessary because that is her "policy", although the front desk stated that every dentist is different, so no, it actually sounds more like a choice. read more

Being new to the area, my sister and I went to the Sage Dental office on Haverhill Rd. in the shopping center at the corner of Roebuck Rd. The individual behind the desk immediately showed us that we had much to fear from this unfortunate confrontation. We identified ourselves and mentioned that we were here pursuant to our appointments. The individual behind the desk announced that nothing gets done here without inputting our medical history into the two tablet computers that we were handed. After doing this we sat for about a half hour before I was escorted to the x-ray room. The x-ray process took 40 minutes. By this time, we were both in the x-ray room wondering what was going on when in walks Dr. Jim (don't remember name just unusual to give first name for a doctor) who examined my teeth and left. We asked Dr. Jim who owns the practice, and he replied it was Dr. Johnanthan, first name basis, hmm? Thereafter we sat in the x-ray room for another 20 minutes waiting for the next shoe to fall. Looking at each other my sister and I started getting the feeling that we were in the wrong place at the wrong time, and we returned to the individual at the front desk expecting candid camera. This time we were challenged by 'Well if you can't wait, you'd better leave." By now we were happy to get out while the getting was good never to return to this strange place. read more

I was on the Phone talking to a representative and she transferred me without telling me she transferred me and mind you I had just removed my wisdom teeth so talking wasn't easy for me and she knew that . Medicare Patients Beware! Do not step foot in this place, it's a total scam and rip off. I made an appointment for my medicare-covered bitewing x-rays, exam, and cleaning covered by Insurance. The X-ray tech took a ton of x-rays after I explicitly said I didn't want them. Then the exam where I explaining I was in the midst of treatment at another dental office for periodontal issues. I was just there for my routine cleaning. When I progressed to my cleaning she flat-out refused to do a routine cleaning stating that it was recommended I have a deeper periodontal cleaning at a $69 up charge. I said I would take that recommendation but at that time just wanted my cleaning and Sage Dental refused to do a routine cleaning if I did not pay the upcharge. After 2 hours and doing what was required to get my cleaning and the practice refusing my cleaning I left and then received a $50 bill for the x-rays "not covered".They sent a $300+ bill to Medicare. My husband and I have been patients at sage dental for years, We have had a number of procedures done by them. Sage is not what it use to be, recently it seems like the company seems to have a high turn over rate, there are always new people. One of the techs expressed how they hated working there. I have not had a bad experience up until my husband and i last visit. I had 5 cavities that were not deep at all, it's been a month later and I still have pain in my mouth, I went back and they looked and they said nothing was wrong, something clearly is wrong. Day one went fine besides the wait, but I'm use to waiting long, sometimes over an hr just waiting. On day two, they numbed my mouth and the doctor needed help. The hygienist came in gave me some tool to hold, I was like wth. I asked the doctor what am I suppose to do with this he said I don't know why she gave that to you. Long story short I'm pretty sure I have a root canal, on a surface cavity filling, now I have to find a new doctor after paying 100s on cavity filling. In addition my husband went to get a cavity filling (we should stop eating so much sugar), he had the same pain that I'm having, he had to pay an extra 190 to see a specialist because his was fed up with the pain, they said he needed a root canal do not go to Sage, unless you like wasting money, and being in a lot of pain read more

He wanted it abstracted, so they were kind another to make him an appt in their Jupiter office.. he goes to his appt for nothing it was only a consultation wtf.. the only reason why the appt was set up was for them to abstract the tooth.. I had braces from them and worked with Dr. Newman for a little over 2 years and was very satisfied with the results. However, the ortho assistants were often extremely rude (borderline verbally abusive), in fact, I've only had one positive experience within those 2 years. On one occasion, I remember an assistant calling my teeth "disgusting" because I ate at school and forgot my toothbrush at home. I lived in fear of going to my monthly appointments. If I could give them zero stars, I would! I went because I knew I had a cavity,but my usual dentist wasn't covered by my insurance Anymore. Started off with xrays. Fine. It was my first ever cleaning and consult appointment at Sage. They refused to do the cleaning that day. They said I had 8 cavities that needed filling. And one needed a crown it was so deep (that's the cavity I knew I had.) I asked what my insurance would cover, but they said it wouldn't cover the work completely. Ididn't have enough money, so they had me get a credit card to put it on. The card would only cover the crown I needed to have, So over the next few weeks, as I made $ i had the other cavities filled. All but 2. Then I found out that the crown that I paid out of pocket for would have been completely covered by my insurance if they had used different material. Fast forward to now i go back to my old dentist. And the suspicions i had are correct. The 2 cavities that they said i still needed filling did not exist. The 6 cavities they "filled" were superficial and my dentist said he thinks they lied to get my $. And the cavity they crowned should have had a root canal done, so I'll now have to spend even more to fix my tooth properly. And I never got my cleaning... Bottom line , get a better dentist, even if it costs more! read more

Horrible experience there.... no respect at all for their clients. I waited 4 months for my exam and cleaning. I received the text from them a week ago which I confirmed with a large C for my appointment tomorrow. My home phone rang today and someone for my home informed them and confirmed I will be there tomorrow. I called myself at the end of my day, just to confirm a third time. The office staff was extremely rude. They informed me Dr. Ring no longer has Wednesday appointments. (NO ONE EVER TOLD ME THIS AT ALL). After I told the that, they replied , oh, we left you a message, which was a total lie! They were able to give me an appointment which is close to 5 months later. This was because I refused to go on 2 separate days. I was hoping they could have fit me in much sooner, due to their own error. I was a new patient at Sage. I had my initial consultation and after I was told I would need a deep cleaning. I waited 25 minutes while they checked my insurance. They came back and told me my copay would be $112. I scheduled my appointment. At that time I was told to pay a $50 deposit which I did. After my 1st cleaning I paid $56. After the next cleaning I was told I owed $106. I said I have a $50 credit, they said there was an extra $100 charge that my insurance didn't cover. I paid the bill and will never return. This has to be the WORST dentist office known to man. My Mother needed a dentist and I thought, hey they're close and seemed friendly enough. However, after so many issues with the UNEDUCATED front desk staff and the lack of knowledge the obtained during their training showed me different. They have NO idea what they're scheduling, they let you make the decisions on what you want done first even though when they call for schedule confirmation it's a different story. Jennifer whom I thought had some ounce of understanding showed me different as well. They have no idea what to do when it comes to billing or insurance authorizations and customer service. I am sending a complaint to the BBB as well. I am very concerned for people who go here. I contacted my mother's insurance and was told that the dentist office was full of it, LOL because they're showing something totally different. I had an emergency last year and needed work done instantly, I was originally against using Sage because it's a commercial place and not a "mom and pop" privately owned office as I've been used to. I had Dr Strong last year at this location to help me with my tooth, she was amazing and diligent with she work. I went back again this morning for a similar procedure, I drove 30 mins and passed 4 other Sage offices to go back and see Dr Strong and once again, over a year later and she was amazing again. I have always had the best of service at Sage Dental of West Palm Beach. Always. The dentists there are wonderful; so are the hygienists. Today I want to particularly recommend Tula. I cannot begin to tell you how professional yet very caring she is. The precision she uses doing the cleanings that I have to have is remarkable, combined with the gentleness. Today after the cleaning, I just happened to glance at my teeth and I automatically whispered "Wow" under my breath. They actually looked different in a very, very positive way - like the smiles you see on the "after" in the "before" and "after" advertisements! I feel the need to add to this review as my experience keeps getting worse, despite not going back again! I have been continuously billed for something I paid for when I was in the office for my visit(despite that they didn't bother to submit it to insurance-I was so done I decided just to pay). I have now left 4 voicemails and have not heard back once about this. I don't know what kind of scam is going on here but something is wrong. Great Service and friendly technitions.

My dentist and her assistant are great; however the front office staff is awful. They are rude when I call. They are rude when I ask questions and even rude when I check in, especially if I ask any questions. The oral surgeon was excellent; however, one of his assistants (the male one) is irritable. Sage Dental will not file with my medical insurance, which would have covered the oral surgery. Honestly, I cringe each time I know I have to go to this office. It is such a negative experience. Im afraid to ask anyone behind that front desk a question and so wish I had found out if my dentist and Surgeon leases or works with any other dental group. I know the surgeon does as he's only at Sage on Wednesdays. I'm pretty sure my dentist does as well. I'm going today to get my cap put back on (it came off) and I so wish I could do anything other than go to this office with those ladies. I called to check on my appointment and oh how rude the lady was that answered my call. I really hate having to go there but I don't want to give up my dentist. When all this work is done I will find somewhere else. Hopefully my dentist works elsewhere. My suggestion is if you like your dentist or oral surgeon at Sage Dental, find out other places that they practice and go to that place. It seems that the dentists, hygienists, and Oral Surgeon, practice at multiple locations. Find out where they work when they are not at Sage, then follow them to the other location. Signed paper on payment agreement page "As per Humana PPO coverage. " Before seeing Dr. Ring, somehow it was decided I required x-rays, even thought I had a complete exam 6 months ago, as written on intake forms. They said they knew my insurance and had checked. Upon check out they requested payment for x-rays????? SEROIUSLY THIS IS DECEPTIVE PRACTICE. I made an appointment for 2 one tooth partial bridge and after several visits and recasting of molds, the 2 teeth do not fit right. I contacted the office and was pretty much told that this what I ordered and that's what I got! I explained, yes this is what I ordered, but that they are suppposed to fit tight. If you value your health stay away! This isn't about dental or medical care it's big business. I took an 84 year old man I care for to this location. They pulled 14 teeth out while he sat in a chair with the aid of Novocaine only. When he protested the attending dentist told him if he didn't move forward they were going to keep his $3,500 Whatever happened to the Hippocratic Oath for a doctor to put his patient before his business or the almighty dollar. Threatened with financial loss and intimidation he coerced this 84 year old man into doing something he was uncomfortable with. Unethical and Barbaric are the words that comes to mind. That was well over a month ago and he is yet to recover two infections and he's in need of periodontal care now to have a surgeon reopen his gums and drain the infection. Upon examination and determination they said he could drive to Jupiter Florida to see periodontist there. Jupiter is over an hour away and not a solution for an 84 year old man who is severely arthritic nor has recovered from the trauma to his body from this unethical practice. Let me also inform you the staff at the front desk are very Gruff and uncooperative. Twice they claimed to have called prescriptions for antibiotics to his Pharmacy twice they did not. Called them to request live saving antibiotics for a severe infection and was given attitude .So if you looking for intimidation unethical practice no cooperation attitude of indifference then this would be a good choice. read more

Extremely bad and disappointing experience. The poor experience started at the Lake Worth office and continued at the WPB location, therefore I believe they have a systemic issue with their overall service and care procedures. I experienced an agitated and argumentative Dentist at the Lake Worth office, who after commenting on how painful my current issues appear, then failed to proscribe any pain medication. So, I went on to wait nearly a week in pain only to walk out of the WPB office because I was so frustrated due to a lack of clarity from the original Dentist and the insistence of the Endodontist to repeat the same exact painful testing already completed by the previous Dentist. Then after hearing my complaint, rather then attempting calm my nerves and reassure my doubts the Endodontist said I should just leave if I didn't feel comfortable. So do yourself a favor and find another healthcare provider that makes CARE their primary concern. read more
