I met Rachel at a bridal faire and felt connected with her right away - she has a warm and friendly personality. Even though I already had a photographer booked for my wedding photos when we met, once she told me she also does boudoir (among others like family and baby photography), I knew I would feel comfortable in front of her camera. You kinda need that trusting vibe right away, and I had no hesitations with Rachel. I must've emailed her a dozen times in preparation for this shoot. One of my biggest tips for new parents is to splurge for professional family photos, and you will not be going wrong if you get those photos shot by Rachel! We have used a few different photographers in the area and have great experience with all but Rachel just had a particular laid back style that I liked a lot. She also met us where we wanted to do our photos (a 40 minute drive away) and when we got them back I was BLOWN AWAY! I like to think that I have an attractive family but she somehow made us shine even brighter! I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND Rachel to anyone who needs a photographer. read more

I honestly expected much more for the money. The quality of the photos was good, but the positioning of people, and the locations chosen were not good. We had our wedding at David Walley's and most of our photos were shot in a broken down tennis court with weeds growing around us. If we turned around, the sun was just setting behind the sierra Nevada's creating a beautiful backdrop, no photos were taken in this direction. Overall I am disappointed. We spent a lot fo money to ensure we didnt need to worry about photos, and that we would have professional shots with the best possible environment and lighting. I can't tell you how pleased I was with my maternity shoot. She killed it!! I am not really photogenic & I'm pretty shy but the pictures were amazing!! She is so nice & makes you feel really comfortable. She supplied a maternity dress & a props. It's summer, I prepared myself to not get my photos for weeks. She had them ready in a week and a half!! When our photographer fell through, our minister sent out a request on thumbtack.com and Rachel responded back. After looking through her gallery, I was sold. We were so happy we chose her. She showed up promptly for our pre-wedding pictures and was really easy to work with. My husband never likes taking pictures and she set him at ease immediately. She directed us through a lot of fun poses in multiple locations on Reagan Beach and then caught a bunch of candids as people were showing up for the wedding. We just got the link to our pictures (she told us it might take 4-6 weeks, but ours were done in 2) and, wow, were we amazed. Nearly 400 beautiful pictures in 2 hours for a very reasonable price. I can't wait to download the pictures and make copies. I would recommend Rachel to anyone in a heartbeat! read more

Rachel was ANAZING! She took us in the woods and yes I had to hike in my wedding dress but like she said it was so worth it. I thought for sure I'd feel awkward with someone taking my pictures (non candid) but she made us feel super comfortable. She really felt like family not even half way through our day. I was looking for a photographer to do our Family Photos where my wife & I were married two years ago in Meyers. I contacted Rachel through her website after finding her on Yelp and she quickly responded back say that she was available for the day we had in mind. After speaking with Rachel on the phone about who was included in our family photos (Myself, Wife, 4 month old son, and the grandmothers), we booked our reservation with her. We spoke with Rachel several times prior to our pictures, and each time, she quickly responded, was very professional and friendly. The day of the photos, Rachel showed up on time, friendly smile, happy, and excited to do our pictures. The day of our pictures, the smoke from the Oak Fire in Tuolumne County moved in 1/2 hr prior to our pictures. We were a little worried on how the pictures would turn out. We had a lot of fun taking our pictures, Rachel was awesome, open to ideas, took the time to get the family pictures that were important to us and took many more pictures that we weren't expecting to take. We received our digital download of our pictures last night...WOW....they turned out great, even with the background of smoke, which made our outfits stand out even more among the colors of the background. I really can't say enough good things about Rachel's photography or her service. I was originally planning on proposing to my girlfriend in April in Lake Tahoe, with our parents there. Due to the pandemic, it was too much to ask anyone to travel for us, so we just went the two of us in July. I needed someone to capture our special moment, and Rachel's reviews were outstanding. She was super helpful on the phone and very transparent about pricing. She even recommend some scenic locations to do the proposal since I wasn't very familiar with the area. Fast forward to the day of the proposal, we're driving to Sand Harbor to do it. My girlfriend just thinks were going to the beach/water front to walk around. Sand Harbor opens at 8am and we planned to get there right on the open. We were waiting in traffic on a one lane road to turn into the park by 7:45am, only to get to the front of the line by 8:20am to be turned away. They closed the lot and didn't let any more cars in. Luckily Rachel was able to get in because she got there extra early, a true professional. While I'm scrambling to figure out what to do and thinking about calling an audible to a new location, Rachel was able to talk to the park rangers to explain what was going on and get us in through the boat launch lot. The proposal went perfect and the pictures look amazing. Not only were the pictures really high quality, but Rachel really did go above and beyond to help make our special day a reality! read more
