This is a well-stocked market in the heart of Saguache, CO. It's small, but it packs a punch for anything you need for traveling through, or for a 4-course meal and sundries. Very friendly folks, and there is a deli for meals on the go. It's a little more expensive, but consider how far the trucks travel to restock the shelves. If your restroom's out of order, well, FINE. I mean, sh*t happens, right? Well, that's when you call a plumber in, hon. That's when (gasp!) you spend a little freakin' money and get it REPAIRED. (It's called "the cost of doing business." You might wanna look into that, poodle.) This place never has a clean, working restroom available to its patrons, I think -- at least that's what I can surmise after speaking locals who tell me that "Those guys have a real hang-up about folks using their restroom." I don't let patrons use the restrooms in the venues in which I work; it's true. But GUESS WHAT? I hire clean, modern portable toilet units so that my patrons CAN and WILL be comfortable during their shopping experiences. Someone needs to contact Sinclair about this. Unacceptable. Saguache County gave staff gift certificates. Went to use it today. Was told the owner revoked them last month. Just wondering if the County new there was no expiration date and thought good till end of year. Owner very rude and did not care as she got her money already. Glad to know they like ripping off the community workers that the county gave them to. Well being I was from this small town was needless to say was upset to see being treated so rudely. Guess all they care about is the road traffic business and not their own community business. read more

The lady working the cash register must be going through some serious personal struggles in life. She went out of her way to project the most intense "F U" attitude I have ever encountered. I think she was trying to actually murder me with her tone and angry responses to my questions about whether or not there was a cafe in town, she said NO! (Turns out there is one). I did buy a two dollar hot water with brown hue added that was advertised as coffee and wished her a happy day. Man, I kinda want to go back and ask if she was an actor in a hidden camera prank show. Win some, lose some. Definitely lost one on this chance encounter. read more

A small town market that offers more than your Loaf n Jug. We have gassed up here three times, bought sandwiches at the deli, and treats in the grocery section. The grocery section is like a mini-City Market; I have learned a lot of the town gossip standing in line to pay. read more

Stopped here so my granddaughter could use restroom. Didn't see the 'out of order' sign on door. Man and woman got very very rude. I went in to tell them I was going to report on Yelp and call Sinclair Oil Company, who they said had nothing to do with the store tho the Sinclair sign was huge. Long story short they called the sheriff, after telling me to leave, them the man stood and tried to block me from leaving. The sheriff told us they were weird about their bathrooms and told us about another station that had cheaper gas and the people were nicer. read more

Driving thru town & stopped at market for water & snacks. Perused store where prices were sky high and welted/scribbled lettuce & other produce were displayed for sale. The man & woman in the store who sat atop the cash register area were extremely rude. There was a sign on the door that read: "NO PUBLIC RESTROOM." The sign said to go 2 blocks south to the park. We couldn't find the park & asked public city workers who offered vague directions. So we found a tiny Library, went in to ask where the park was. A sympathetic woman in library said the park was across the parking lot and admitted it was hard to find. I used restroom in library & my husband walked to park & found women's restroom was out of order! We have traveled to smaller towns with a population less than 100 and they had public restrooms. I usually do not write NEGATIVE REVIEWS BUT THIS PLACE WAS SHAMEFUL & PATHETIC. And, deserves a "no star" rating. read more

Let's clear the air from some of these bad reviews. My name is Doug and I am co-owner and manager. Issue #1. Lupe; Her husband is a disgruntled ex-butcher which we are very grateful that he quit. Since he left, we have an established, more experienced, butcher in which are sales in the meat department have tripled as well as the rest of the store. Thanks for the comment Lupe. Issue #2. Dyana; On the day that you are referring to as to you being asked to leave, you were the ones that were literally screaming and cussing at my clerk. What you failed to mention, on that day the foodstamp program had a glitch for approximately an hour in which the system was down. Three other people had the same experience you did as to their foodstamp card would not go thru either, but they politely came back a few hours later and had no further issues. It was your rude and very loud demeanor that is the reason that you are no longer welcomed in the store. As far as us having and or selling bad/outdated product is a flat out fabrication... Issue #3. Amanda L.; As far as your experience on 1/10/17, sorry for the bad experience, but from my understanding there is a lot more to the story on your end that you are not adding to your comment and of your behavior. SUPER RUDE! Stopped by on a family road trip to refuel, purchase snacks and use the restroom. We quickly discovered that they have a permanent sign stating, "RESTROOM OUT OF ORDER". ....Yeah right! That's just them not wanting patrons to use the restroom. I'm sure keeping up a restroom like that isn't fun, but unfortunately it's part of the convenience provided by a gas station in the middle of nowhere. The lady was very rude about it as well. Luckily there is a CONOCO less than a 1/2 mile away, that has a clean restroom and friendly service - I recommend taking your business there! Funny thing is that while finishing our ice cream cones in front of the CONOCO I chatted with a couple of locals who told me that the owner of the Sinclair was ALWAYS rude (actually they used more choice words). read more
