I don't recommend for a pedicure. I received a great massage from owner's daughter, but owner Connie gave a terrible pedicure and was rather rude. It cost $65. No massaging legs, which is why I get a pedicure. I had to redo the nail polish when I got home. When I gave Connie a two star review they replied I've never been there and had the wrong salon. Went for a last minute 60min massage to be able to turn my head again due stress and sleeping funky. Pros: They were able to cater to a last minute call and offer great customized service. I would say they are definitely on the higher side for expensive. As I've received the same style of service for 90mins for the same price as what I received for 60mins. The therapist was knowledgeable to know the trigger points and help release the pain. Cons:I've never been to a place that does not utilize aromatherapy and charge's to do so. A little disappointed there as I know the relaxing smells help ease tension at the door. That was a disappointment. read more

The spa is beautiful. It's truly a SPA in every sense of the word. The ambience is divine. The fire place sets the mood. The furniture is inviting. The view is stunning. There is coffee and hot tea available to sip on while relaxing. This is truly a haven in Door County. However, the pedicure was substandard. I'm a pedicure whore. I get them all the time. I've had top of the line pedis and I've had bottom of the barrel pedis. I've been to English speaking salons and salons that only have a single person that speaks English. I've had pedicurists set the timer and I've has pedicurists take the time to do the job right. I've left a pedi session feeing pampered and I've left a pedi session not feeling cared for at all. That's how I left my session at this spa. My pedi was done by the owner. She came across rushed, distracted, and it felt like she wanted to be somewhere else except right where she was. I cannot think of one time that a pedicurist has refused to scrape out under my big toe. They automatically do it as soon as they see it. When I mentioned to my pedicurist that that is the reason why I get pedis so frequently. Her response, "well that isn't happening today". I almost got up and walked out because I'm the past 12 years of getting monthly pedicures I've never been spoken to like that not had anyone refuse to do it. I'm not a pushy person and had the day not been a very sensitive one I would have replied, then got up and left. In a service related profession it's vital to serve. It's what keeps people coming back. It's what gets a business 5 star reviews. It's what cause people to encourage others, by word of mouth, to patronize a business. I did not utilize any of the other services. I did have the pleasure of seeing the massage therapists interact with other patrons so I think that it's possible the owner was doing work that she didn't want to do on that day. read more

I will start with the positive- I had a very pleasant massage here and it was well worth the money that I paid for. The massage therapist was very professional and helpful. Now here's the negative that I am NOT happy about- I came in with shellac on my toe nails. This spa evidentially does not use shellac (a fact that I was not informed of when I booked the appointment). Because I had shellac on my toes and the nail tech had to remove it, I was not given any other treatments that were supposed to come along with the spa pedicure. My nails were cut, shaped, and painted and that's it. I was NOT given the following directly off of their menu because it took too much time to remove my shellac: -exfoliation -hot towels -masque -massage I'm sorry if I'm wrong to at least expect a massage at a pedicure. My polish was also smudged and my nails weren't filed straight. I'll probably be redoing my own nails at home within the next few days. Furthermore- the menu says the pedicure is supposed to last for 60 minutes and mine lasted about 45 minutes. I should note that their website does mention removing gel polish before your appointment, but we scheduled everything via phone call and weren't given these instructions. I even asked if I could be charged less since I didn't get the full service and I was still required to pay full price. In conclusion- Go for the massage! It's great! My husband and I booked a last minute couples massage while on a long weekend in Door County. The location was convenient and the building was nice. The reception area smelled great when you walked in. I would agree with a previous poster that the waiting room was a bit awkward because there was people walking around in bathrobes while we waited for our massages to begin. The couples massage room was nice however it was very bright. The windows have light blinds on them, I would suggest black out curtains for a more relaxing environment. In addition the room was freezing. I actually had goosebumps most of my massage because of it. After wards by husband asked me why I didn't have the therapist turn on the heater in the bed but she never offered it to me. While the massages were nice, we both left with the feeling that the massage therapistd was just rubbing our back etc versus giving us a massage. My husband paid for a therapeutic massage because it was deeper than the Swedish but he said he didn't feel it was very deep at all. I can tell you I was hoping for a nice massage to work out some areas of tension but this did not do the trick, at all. While everything surrounding the massage was nice, the massage itself was not very nice. I wouldn't go back. read more

I went here with my 2 sisters in law and my mother in law as part of a Door County girls weekend get away. I got a pedicure (my first one). The pedicure was fantastic, very relaxing and my feet are so soft now. The spa is gorgeous inside. There is a relaxing and comfortable waiting area with a fireplace and picturesque views of the woods. The room where we had our pedicures had a beautiful view of the woods as well through a large picture window. Both of the women who did our pedicures were really great and nice to talk to. Everyone we encountered at the spa had a smile and were helpful and polite. I really hope we go back here again. read more

My husband and I got full body therapeutic massages(couples) , with a steam prior, and loved it so much! They weren't gentle, like at all, and were super professional. I mentioned some hip trouble to my masseuse and he even took some time out with us afterwards to show me some stretches that will correct it. We opted for the aromatherapy during our massage after noticing that they exclusively used Young Living Essential Oils, which was a big deal for us (we're picky about oils). I wanted to give a spa treatment for my husband as our anniversary. the lady at the front was so nice, she toured us inside of their Salon... if you wanted to get some drinks like coffee you are free to get anything you like. The spa pedicure was great! 1 lady did for us that's why tools for 2 hours... But doesn't matter.. She did really great job! Only the massage I don't know what kind of foot massage she gave because kind o very soft and I didnt feel anything... But in the end it was great! The salon so quite... A cute spa with an overall feeling of relaxation. My friend and I were in town for a girls weekend, and spent our first afternoon and early evening at the spa. We enjoyed a hot tea while sitting in a massage chair getting a pedicure and enjoying the tranquil view from the windows. Then, we had a manicure, and sat near the fire place as our polish was drying. Unfortunately, we did not have any other services done, because the services were a bit on the expensive side. I'm from Madison and visit Saguaro several time a year. The owners, management and staff are all outstanding. The entire team is friendly and accommodating -they're genuinely nice people. The spa itself is beautiful, serene both inside and out. It's hard to tell from the road, but there's an amazing nature-scape view from behind the building. I'm always satisfied with my treatments/services and wouldn't consider going to any other spa while in Door County. read more

I am from this area and have visited the Saguaro Day Spa several times, for various services. I have also visited other spas on the peninsula. My experience this morning was outstanding in all regards. I had a Reiki session and a Saguaro pedicure, both serviced by the owner, Connie. The Reiki session (I have Reiki treatments at other facilities) was beautiful, comprehensive, healing... brought me peace and balance. The pedicure was a perfect compliment, and having Connie again gave things a sense of flow, of continuity. I will always remember my experience at Saguaro Spa this morning. It was beautiful. I did get a good massage however the owner/manager seemed to be very incompetent and not good to her employees. I had a $70.00 service and paid with a $85.00 gift cetificate which I wanted the excess to go to the employee. "No" she says "the computer won't let me do that". I worked with computers for 20 years and I know there are ways to do this...she wanted to count it as sales instead of rewarding a good employee. Thumbs down . read more

My friend and I went there and had many services done which totaled $500. I thought the common area where you wait for your services was too loud and impersonal. It was odd sitting there in a robe while people fully dressed walked in and out. I found the body wrap delightful but the walls are thin and I could hear the men in the next room talking very loudly so I was unable to enjoy my facial. My husband wasn't told he would have a male masseuse which made him uncomfortable and unable to enjoy his experience. I called the owner to ask her why they don't specify which gender will be doing a male massage (usually if it is a male they will ask a preference) the owner said she could be sued and I stated my husband was unable to relax, etc. She didn't enjoy my phone call and seemed defensive and put her manager on, the owner was rude on the phone. Brittainy who did my services was amazing, however, I feel the place is losing a personal touch as most places do as they grow so beware before you spend your money. read more

Saguaro Day Spa - a retreat-like treat! From Egg Harbor, my sister and I drove to Sturgeon Bay to visit for a mini spa day. The spa itself is located on a more remote road, with a gravel lot and relaxing ranch-style decor. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Also, they were able to get us each hour-long appointments only a couple days in advance. I must say Door County does not have a selection of spas to choose from, and the first place we called was not accommodating at all. We were relieved to be shown into a reception room to relax and fill out our paperwork. I chose the therapeutic massage (which is like deep tissue) while my sister chose the facial. She told me that her cosmetician was professional and helped her redetermine her skin type while customizing the facial to meet her skin-type needs. The facial included a foot massage and numerous facial treatments. The therapeutic massage began with the masseuse using warm towels along with muscle fascia loosening and stretching techniques, which then progressed to the deep tissue work that I needed. My masseuse was extremely knowledgeable and explained things as she went. This massage helped my sore muscles immensely! As I melted into the table, I wish I could have extended this massage for another hour. I was not ready to be done! All in all this spa was a nice retreat when you're on vacation, but the prices do reflect the area we were in. Treat yourself to the best spa in the area and check this place out! read more

My husband and I came here for a massage and foot treatment. The massage felt like someone was just putting lotion on me. I asked for a little more pressure then it felt good. However, when I went to pay I was charged an extra $15 and was told it's cuz I upgraded my massage. I didn't upgrade but just needed some pressure. It was a massage not a rub down. The lady at the front told me that's how massages are. I told her I've been getting massages for years and I know what it should feel like. Anyways I'd never come back and wouldn't recommend it either. My husband got pressure though without having to pay more. He had a lady named Chris. So maybe just stay away from a lady named Nancy. I called and spoke with Connie (the owner) regarding booking a couple's massage for my husband and I. After reading reviews on Yelp, I wanted to ask a few questions regarding the lighting in the massage room and if we could avoid the awkwardness of sitting around the waiting room in robes. Upon starting to ask these questions, Connie became extremely rude and very defensive. I am definitely not spending my money or my time in a place with such poor customer service where nice people are treated so terribly. If I was treated so poorly over the phone, I wonder how we would have been treated on the day of our massages? read more
