AVOID! I have been a patient of Palm Beach medical group for the last 20 + years. My original…read moredoctor retired; Dr. Stern. I was passed off to Dr. Ellis. Saw her for several years. Recently, I have been in good health & haven't needed much medical assistance. When I did need to see someone, Dr Ellis wasn't available so they passed me over to the physicians assistant. Fast forward 1 year; I arrived for my appointment with the PA, which I made last year, and they had no record of the appointment & informed me that the PA no longer works there. No one called me or even emailed me. They weren't very helpful or friendly either. I asked if I could get in to see Dr. Ellis - they said that she won't take me anymore because I hadn't seen her in a few years. But last time I had an appointment, I tried to see her and she wasn't available so I saw the physicians assistant. Ughhhh!

Two terrible experiences back to back(I am 35 and in good health). First - I arrived with minor…read morechest pain. An EKG was performed. It was determined I was in atrial flutter. No verification was done. I went to the hospital and found out I had a sternum injury, not atrial flutter. The EKG they took was misinterpreted due to improperly placed leads. Their incompetents cost me $3k in medical bills. They could have easily verified their results. Second - We had a very sensitive and personal issue only to be discussed between the doctor and my family. I specifically asked it to be confidential. They discussed and reveled our issues with receptionists and administration. Later that day I was shamed by a receptionists, it was humiliating.

I waited many months for this appointment. The day has arrived. The office is located one bldg…read morenorth of the hospital. When you arrive and walk up to the front door the sign directs you to the rear of the building. It would be helpful to have a larger sign rather having patients walk up to door and go around. It's nice that I got there with plenty of time. I got an elevator went up to the floor and needed to use the restroom which are locked for our safety. Dr's office is at the end of the hallway. I got the key walked all the way back to elevator. I unlocked the door and a man was inside using the single use bathroom. That made me feel safe already. There was one other one available. I'm back to the room. It is now 10:15 for my 10:30 appt. I sent my records in twice and they were not acceptable. Not sure why but I brought in copies and discs as I was promised the dr would look at them. I waited while the room is filled with people munching on messy snacks. One patient was particularly annoying complaining about her 11 o'clock appt. They took her in before me. I finally got in later. I waited and waited and then was told to go wait in another room. At 12:15 Dr came in with another lady who gave no introduction but he was looking to her for opinions asking her what she thought. Despite having received my records 3x my visit consisted of questions as to what did the other doctors think. What I expected was a visit with surgeon who would look at my scans which he never looked at and give me his professional opinion or treat me like a was a person rather than insult me over and over for not being a perfect surgical candidate. At this point my pain is severe and I'm so tired and ready to leave and he did his best to inflict additional emotional pain by saying and I quote "YOU have a ZERO chance of getting better! I'm so sorry I stepped into this office. Let me also say that my entire experience here was terrible and a waste of my time but that doesn't mean he's not a good surgeon for YOU. HE can't help me and I respect that. I have another doctor that can and wants to help me so never let doctors intimidate you.
