Speaking with others in the Jiu Jitsu community, I've heard similar concerns--many have noted that he curses frequently, which makes the environment feel unprofessional, especially when younger students are present. On top of that, unless you sign up for a formal class, you shouldn't expect any instruction or feedback from him. Speaking of the kids' program, I'd encourage anyone considering it to take a look at their social media. The classes seem more like unstructured playtime than a focused martial arts program, which may not align with what most parents are looking for in a Jiu Jitsu school.

I'm not sure why anyone would buy the punch card if you can just pay the mat fee and still pay the same amount. Overall it seemed they were trying to wring as much money out of me as possible with no respect for the sport. Past gyms I have been to always made me feel welcome and it seemed more about establishing a community and spreading good energy, not about making as much money as possible.
