We had such a wonderful sail around Guanadara Bay with this company. Marsala was amazing! We saw Sugar loaf, Christ redeemer, the beautiful sunsets...oh and we took a dip. Easy to find from Marina da Gloria. An alcoholic drink and an adorable cheese tray included. Loved this. read more
Cassio was a great host and captain. English and Portuguese just fine. Not sure about other languages, but I won't be surprised if he knew others. Communicates well with your needs and makes great Caipirinhas. A good time to just sail around Rio and relax. He is flexible for the time you have booked. Pricing is reasonable based on the season. Enter through Iate Clube do Rio de Janeiro, a private dock. It is secure and just tell the door guy you are there for him. read more

To see Rio from the sea is one of the best things to do when visiting the city. Also, sailing on a beautiful, clear day is quite an experience! The unique combination of green mountains, sea and sun, creates a spectacular scenery. I did the ride with my wife and another couple from São Paulo and, even being "Cariocas", we were astonished by the amazing view of the mountains of Rio. The Capitain, Cassio, was calm, polite and very dedicated to make us feel safe and confortable and, of course, provided a real sailing experience, with both sails up most of the time. It was awesome! We've decide to pay a small extra for lhe catering and we enjoyed caipirinhas, beer, wine and delicious snacks. It was a perfect day! read more

Meet the Business Owner: Cassio G.
Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1956, Captain Gurjão is a sportsman who has enjoyed sea related activities since very young. From body-surfing, to surfing, windsurfing and sailing. His career as a financial executive in the corporate world evolved parallel to his passion for these sports and allowed the acquisition of Kamehameha in January 2008. Sail in Rio was founded as consequence of this passion and of the increasing demand for sailing chartering in Rio de Janeiro. Licensed Amateur Captain by the Brazilian Navy, the skipper accumulates significant sailing mileage from coastal trips north and south of Rio de Janeiro.
