I taught firearms but Bill took everyone through a brief course on firearms and did an excellent job making novices very comfortable! Overall one of the best experiences I've had in Arizona!!!!

We made a reservation for a 4 seater RZR. From start to finish this company is amazing to deal with…read moreand respectable. We arrived at 8AM on Sunday with is not their normal working day but they were there to get us all setup and going. They provide an app for trails and provide their user name and password when you check in. Their fleet is all new and very well maintained and they offer helmets, goggles, coolers and straps for you. They do a $1000 hold on your credit card but granted you don't mess up their stuff it will release off your card in a few days. There are trails for everyone from easy to extreme. We did an easy and then an extreme one which we ended up losing service in the middle but we figured it out eventually lol we used their printed map and the compass on our phones to get us through. I would recommend sunscreen and also an adapter and charger for your phone to keep it juiced up! Also there are gas stations nearby so you can grab a bag of ice and fill up your chest with waters and snacks. We will definitely be coming back to have some fun until we purchase our own can-am! Originally, I had decided to choose PJ's performance to service my vehicle because I was highly…read moreimpressed by their reviews and liked everything I saw online. Unfortunately, the experiences I had was the opposite of what I had expected. A simple vehicle tune-up including changing all fluids and rebuilding the primary clutch as well as secondary clutch and belt took nearly two weeks. I understood this because I knew that it would take time to get the parts ordered and delivered, since I am in the same industry. When my vehicle was being loaded up, I was advised that despite me already spending over $2000 with them the issue has still not been fixed and is now misfiring again even worse. I was advised, i am expected to pay more for additional needed repairs and labor with no discounts. Another week went by waiting for parts to come in to correct the issue for the final time. After getting impatient I had called and requested to speak with PJ directly. When I spoke with PJ, he offered me no assistance or even apologies for the fact that my vehicle had been in his possession for almost a month now. I had even asked him for a discount, and he told me it's not my fault or my problem and there's nothing I can do to assist. After waiting another week turns out they ordered the wrong part, and I had to wait another week for nothing now adding up to a whole month. After waiting an additional week, I had asked for an update or even tracking number for these parts since I was very eager to get my vehicle back and enjoy it. I was advised by the ladies in the office there is a nationwide backorder for that the parts and they will come in when they come in and I need to be patient. I expressed to them I was getting very frustrated with the little amount of progress and lack of updates. Now a few days later I would attempt to call again, and nobody would answer my phone calls, but what do you know the second I call with a coworker's phone number they answer on the second ring this happened 5 separate times. Not to mention they completely ignored my emails and voicemails. Overall, I decided to pick my vehicle up and finish the repairs on my own which keep in mind I was able to find the fuel injectors I needed in stock in phoenix for next day delivery from Polaris directly. I highly advise against taking your vehicle to PJ's performance the ladies in the office and management in its entirety does not appreciate your business or understand how frustrating it is to be out of a vehicle for over a month after spending thousands of dollars with no updates.

Lover of trail runs, marathons, and completing the types of challenging hikes they make documentaries about, this hike albeit steep was a breeze. He ran a few miles to the trailhead, hiked the mountain, then ran back to the hotel three times during our stay. I, on the other hand am not a fan of early mornings or strenuous hikes but I do love a good challenge. In lieu of beating my time up Toms Thumb, I tackled Black Mountain solo, and let me tell you, if my 4'11", geriatric knee having, asthmatic, former athlete self can complete this hike, you can too! Yes, it's pretty dang steep. I wish someone would have warned me that instead of riding switchbacks, you are climbing straight up, gaining elevation very quickly, but it does make for a fun change of pace. Personally, it took me an hour up, and an hour down (so two hours total), and my partner made it up in 30 minutes, and down in around the same (so an hour total). Here are a few tips no matter your skill level: *bring water, a snack or two, sunscreen, sunshades, and considering how steep this bad boy is, wear hiking shoes with good grips. I hiked in October 2024, so I'm not sure if you'd need to modify for other times of the year. *know that although there are a good amount of shops if you make it to the Spanish Village, there aren't a ton of walkable roads in the surrounding town of carefree. In fact, there are a few residents that live on this mountain, and may encounter cars on your way up to the trailhead marker. *all trails is an amazing app to have handy for this and other solo hikes if you're going alone or would like to track your time/ensure you stay on the trail (it buzzed a few times to alert me that I was no longer on the trail...whoops) *the view is nice...even if you don't make it to the top, you're in for a visual treat!

The owner, Jim, worked with us to get the right vehicle and made sure we had what we needed to get up and back in a day-- which is what we wanted to do. We had trail maps, trail GPS, and the perfect vehicle to adventure in. The Rubicon was flawless and handled the trail easily. It was decked out with pod lighting, compressor, first aid kit, cables, cb, winch, and a cooler-- among other things. But really it comes back to Jim. He went above and beyond to ensure we had the adventure we wanted and was flexible in making sure we got it. It was a perfect day, and Red Rock Adventure Rentals made it possible. They have a good inventory of various vehicles and I highly recommend them.
