Worst supermarket I've ever encountered. Car park is cramped poorly lit and chaotic. Cars and pedestrians everywhere. Accident waiting to happen. far too small for volume of shoppers. You have to pay to park. I do not know any other supermarket that does this. Complete lack of stock. Lack of staff. Visited this supermarket Easter Monday. It was like the end of the world. With very long queues. Shoppers trippoing over each other. The entrance and exit is too small, as it is difficult to navigate the multitude of shoppers. Always a lack of shallow trolleys outside. Staff are rude, ignorant and unhelpful. A very, very poorly run supermarket. It is a joke. I will never shop here again, it is absolutely horrendous. Brentwood desperately needs a rival supermarket. read more

Car park hugely improved recently. This store has no real competition for a several mile radius and it shows. Now has an Argos in store reducing its space for core food business....that"s apparent in reduced food shelf space and smaller range of food items ..worst fault is that basic food non/food items are quite frequently out of stock.Staff still pretty good. read more

This Sainsbury's has undergone recent development, and is much improved. The car park has been massively extended, and this helps greatly, as it used to be very difficult to park. There is now a dedicated section for clothes and homeware goods, which are actually very reasonably priced and seem to be fashionable and good quality. There is also a cafe on the upper level, which is handy with children or to grab a quick bite to eat. This is a Sainsbury's superstore, which means that you can basically buy everything you need from a weekly shop. Queues do tend to get very long, although there are now more tills available for people with only a few items. read more

The store has undergone a huge revamp this year. Parking is so much easier due to the creation of multistorey parking, although the continued charge for parking (refunded on spend over £5) is annoying as you need to remember to take change. The grocery element of the store is as was, but the addition of their great home and clothing ranges are a real plus. There is also a good flower range. read more
