Opened in the late 1980s as the biggest store in the UK, this shop has increased in size twice before last year adding a 2nd floor and turning parts of its car park multi story. It appears the only way is up. So what is in here? EVERYTHING. I mean it is intended to stop you from buying anything else elsewhere. It has a parhacamy, petrol station, opticians, car wash, photo processing, car wash, clothing, cafe, electrials, Music and video, stationary, toys, butchers, bakers, fishmongers, candlestickmakers and a range of Carribean, Polish, Kosher, Hahal and Orenital foods. OK, I lied about the candlestick makers, but they do sell candles, matches, lighters, candlestick holders, lightbulbs and anything else to put the candlestick maker out of business. It is open 8am Monday - 10pm Saturday without a break and 10am-4pm on a Sunday, but they dont need your money. £1 in every £8 in the UK is spent at Tesco, it is all becoming a bit of a Tescopoly.

Its still the best supermarket around though in terms of range. The car park is large but does get very busy especially during weekends, also on more than one occasion I have seen unhappy customers who's cars have been damaged in the car park but the CCTV hasn't been working. The national Waitrose scheme of a free newspaper with 5 pounds shopping or above now requires 10 shopping or above. The free coffee offer now requires one to carry and wash up their own cup. Also the My Waitrose cardholders pick your own discount scheme has ceased so offers are less relevant now. Overall though remains my favorite supermarket to shop in.

There is a good clothing section (although as ever it has a much wider range of girl's and women's clothes than men's and boy's. In addition it has a large homeware / toy / party section. My only issue with this store is that despite a number of designated spaces there are hardly ever any Child and Family parking spaces. This leads me to the dilemma of whether I leave my toddler or baby in the trolley to potentially get run over while I put the other in the car. Many spaces are abused by people with no children and the store appears to do nothing about this. Prices at this store are good. There is also a petrol station which is competitively priced

This is an enormous Tesco that is easily the best in Town…read more Departments include your normal fruit & veg, fresh fish and meat counters, a bakery, clothing, toys, electrical, stationery and entertainment (DVDs etc). There is also a Cafe. There are more tills in this Tesco that I have ever seen anywhere, and they are very prompt in opening more if a queue builds up. There is also ample car parking, which curves around the whole store.

It has a cafe, a currency exchange, mini branches of Argos, Habitat and upstairs a Tu clothing range. Fresh food counters include a Bakery, Deli, Fish Counter, Hot Food Counter, Meat Counter, Pizza Counter and a Sushi Bar. There's also a homewares and small electricals section, which runs as far as selling TVs. On my visits, I've always found the checkouts to be a little slow, and the Tu store could with a few more staff (the men's formal shirts section was s bit of a mess). Otherwise, it's good for a one-stop grocery shop.

The grocery side of the store is mostly unchanged. Standard big Sainsbury's on that side. However, it now also has home accessories, small appliances, etc. on the ground floor and clothing upstairs. The whole place is a bit shinier and seems to be keeping up with the improvement the whole area has been getting as its across-the-street neighbord Southside improves & expands.

The woman she said write the nomber and while I was asking her a question, she just left! She came back after few minutes and I explained to her: I was talking to you, and you left me there, so now, I am leaving and not shopping, and I am not coming back again! Tesco, obviously, is making far too much money to care about customers. Thank God for Aldi down the road!!!

This is a very frustrating Tesco, it's well laid out and is thoughtfully dividend into different…read moresections, selling quite a lot of different items considering it's not an Extra store. It also has an online order pick up point which is handy. The main problem with it though which really winds me up whenever I go there is the self-service checkouts, they have 6 which are divided into groups of 4 and 2. So you have two queues, one for each section. For some reason in this store people take absolutely ages to go through them, so there's always a huge queue, or two huge queues to be precise. Added to this that the staff seem to wander off whenever they feel like it, so once someone jams their machine they're just stood there for ages with no assistance, and meanwhile the queues get longer. One morning all four people in the section had jammed their machines and the attendant had wondered off somewhere, so we were all left standing there like idiots with nothing we could do. I don't think Tesco understands how frustrating this is, and it seems to show a real lack of respect for their customes. It's not easy to see why they have so few of the machines, the Sainsbury's at Stratford is much smaller and has around 3 times as many, sensibly with only one queue so that you don't get annoyed watching the queue next to you going faster. Every time I've been to this Tesco this has been a cause of major annoyance, so I do try to avoid the place.
