It is confusing because the alleys don't seem to have any logical order and everything looks a bit mixed, but the range of products you can find there is good and varied. It is not too busy, so is a good place to do your shopping without waiting in lines for hours!

I don't really like to write about chains on yelp, but this one is so terrifyingly terrible that I had to yelp it. It's always so crowded, and there are screaming children EVERYWHERE, and there is always a long line at the check out. I know this isn't really Sainsbury's fault, it's more the customers. But THIS sainsbury's has an overwhelming amount of customers. Otherwise, as a Sainsburys goes, it's a good grocery store chain. Reasonable prices (not cheap, but not ridiculous) and they give you points for shopping there. and they have a pretty wide selection. But I have started going to the tesco express just to avoid the people.

Even though I vastly prefer M&S, Waitrose and boutique shops over Tescos, the local branch is closer than everything else so sometimes convenience wins out. Usually the determination on whether or not to go into Tescos is pretty simple: Am I getting a mass produced thing in a can or a box? Tescos is fine. Otherwise, head elsewhere. The produce and meat here is definitely inferior to the nicer stores so you'll want to skip that entirely. Sometimes I can't be bothered so I'll get some meal deal thing here but make no mistake the sandwiches and wraps are several orders of magnitude inferior to M&S so you're going to get what you pay for; if you actually exit a store with "Korean BBQ wrap with cheddar and bacon" then you get what you deserve! I should add that the service at this Tescos is way, way better than some of the smaller stores.

Loads more and added self serve but still a nightmare of people not moving along, having love affairs at the checkout or confusion as to which side they want to queue on. Get it together!

As in Wal-Mart/Target/Costco big. The veggie section alone is larger than my neighborhood Tesco. As my former girlfriends will testify, bigger isn't always better. Of course they were talking about their favorite cars. You've got to have some quality with that quantity and I'm not about to proclaim that this place does everything great. That said, it's the first time in a long time that I've felt there was a big enough selection that the same foods competed with each other on price. For example, there wasn't one or two varieties of mushrooms, but a dozen. Some specialty types. Others that were offered in bulk. There wasn't a couple of potato choices. Again, more like a dozen types in all different sized offerings. On the flip side, you aren't likely to find a lot fo speciality/gourmet items. This isn't like the food halls of Harrods or Oxford St. But I'm definitely going to be heading here frequently to stock up on certain basics.

It has a huge car park with plenty of disabled bays and a separate car park for families.

I hate going into supermarkets where i have to walk for ten minutes just find the aisle that I want but I also want a shop that actually stocks everything that I need and the smaller shops don't tend to. This sainsbury's is happily in the middle. The layout of the store makes it very easy to find things. The shelves are always well stocked and the store is always tidy. Staff friendliness could be improved but they aren't rude.
