This is a fantastic school for your kids to attend. My daughter has learned more than any neighboring public school so its well worth the investment. We were looking for a new school for our daughter after 5 years at St. Mark's in Venice. I've known about St. Anne from friends who's children attended this school. We decided to have a tour and meet Mr. Browning the principal. Upon meeting Mr. Browning we knew St. Anne would be the school we would place our daughter. We have never seen a more dedicated principal. Mr. Browning loves St. Anne's, it's staff, and students. He is the backbone of this school and it shows. It shows in the staff and for it's students. And the staff, students, and parents love Mr. Browning. I love how they greet him when he visits their classroom. They say "Good morning Mr. Browning God bless you!" How cute and awesome is that? After a half a year of now of our daughter being in Mrs. Renteria's class we were impressed of the teachers here at this school. All are excellent. Our daughter has grown and thrived at this school. The academics here is awesome. St. Anne's use the blended learning method. A method that has shown that it helps children that has been used for many years. It works. We are so happy and blessed that we decided to bring our daughter here. We are watching her grow into a well rounded person. She has grown academically, spiritually, and socially. This is all due to the wonderful teachers, staff, and Mr. Browning. We were also pleasantly surprised that there were fellow health care professionals who send their children here. St Anne School has been a godsent for our son and his future. Our son was assessed two grades behind his peers when we enrolled him with St. Anne School. Our hope was that St. Anne would make up some of the academic fundamentals our son lacked coming from years of being pushed through the public schools. Not only did St. Anne make up some ground, but in his first year at St. Anne, he has caught up to his peers and is competing at grade level. We chose St. Anne because of their groundbreaking work using the blended learning model and reputation of being a culturally diverse Catholic School. St. Anne didn't waste any time in addressing my son's academic needs while immediately holding him accountable for his missing and substandard work. St. Anne school demonstrated empathy while also creating clear accountability for his work and behavior. The teachers at St. Anne work as a team with the parents and have demonstrated to me they clearly love teaching and their students. They met with me individually once a week to check in on our son's progress and immediately address challenges or concerns. They also supported our son with after-school tutoring three days a week which was critical in developing self-confidence in his academic abilities and trust in his teachers. Thanks to St Anne's blended learning model, dedicated teachers, and passionate leadership from Principal Browning, our son now embraces learning and has developed a strong competitive academic drive. His character and academic transformation over a short period at St. Anne have been remarkable making his Catholic high school future full of endless possibilities. My two children attend Saint Anne's and this small school is incredible. The intimate class size extends across all grades from TK-8th, fostering a strong sense of community and enabling the dedicated teachers to truly understand and support each student. This, in turn, helps them navigate challenges and celebrate their individual strengths. Aside from great teachers in the classroom, they also incorporate iReady tablets, providing a customized learning curriculum that caters to each child's unique needs, which is not only engaging and motivating, but is also a useful tool, offering valuable insights into their progress. St. Anne students are some of the nicest I've ever met. I'm continually impressed by the kindness and generosity of the students, who demonstrate support, encouragement and a spirit of giving. My daughter has been at St. Anne's for a year now. We chose the school for is amazing differentiated learning program. She's an amazing student and it's difficult for some teachers to keep up with her, the computer assisted differentiated learning program makes sure she's being challenged and the amazing teachers have the tools to really focus on every single student. My daughter has been going to St. Anne's since 2019. We absolutely love this school. The teachers are all wonderful. The school is such a great community. I had to write this review because I really want to share this experience with other parents worried about what school to send their child to. Last weekend my 1st grader read an entire 80 page book over the weekend because she wanted to. She learned to read during a pandemic stuck behind a computer most of her kindergarten year. I am the parent of a 1st grader at Saint Anne Elementary School. I'm very glad that we found Saint Anne School and are able to send our child there. From the first time we attended the back to school night we knew that this was the School for us. The current Principle, Mr Browning has been there for 20 years and has guided the school to a fantastic standard. The school is one of the first and leading schools that apply the blended program, so the education our child is getting is very high level and at a pace that suits his abilities. The school also has amazing after school activities, such as yoga, dance and many more. It is also part of the Santa Monica Boys and Girls Club. As parents we have also made friends with other parents and feel part of a welcoming community. If you are looking for a reasonably priced private school I would definitely enquire about spaces at Saint Anne. Even if you don't think you can afford it, I would still encourage you to reach out as they have fantastic scholarship programs. read more

Saint Anne School has been a blessing to our family. My son who has special needs is thriving at this school. Our Kindergarten teacher is everything I could have hoped for in a teacher. She is warm, loving, kind, and enthusiastic about teaching. The schools blended learning program has allowed my son to learn at his own pace. Even better the program is able to track his capabilities so that the teacher can easily provide him additional help in the areas where he is struggling. The smaller class sizes allow students to get the one on one attention that all students deserve but are unable to receive in larger schools. The staff is incredibly dedicated to their students and provide a personable experience. Our principal Mr. Browning has gone above and beyond for entire school. I have never met a more dedicated principle. Even Mrs. Flores who manages our office is a joy to interact with. Both of them make it a point to know each student and their families. This school nurtures the children, while providing a top notch education. They provide a safe, family like atmosphere and a phenomenal education. I am so blessed to have found this affordable gem of a school right in the heart of Santa Monica (where we have some of the most expensive private schools in the state). read more

We love it here. The blended learning program is working very well for both of our children who have very different learning needs. They have one of the best systems for managing classroom behavior, it's very focused on positive reinforcement and it's done effectively. My older son has mild ADHD and he's had no problems in the classroom, and I never thought that would be possible. My younger son is advanced in math. Their blending learning program allows him to work at his pace, which is currently three grade levels ahead. They have so many wonderful programs for a small school. My kids can't stop talking about their coding class. Having the Boys and Girls club on campus after school has been wonderful. I keep my kids there after school and when I pick them up they have completed all of their homework and tell me how much fun they had at the Boys and Girls club. Homework done, happy kids, yes it's been an almost life changing experience for me. The school also has an affordable hot lunch program. This is the first school we've been at where my kids didn't complain about the hot lunch. We do not live particularly close to the school. We actually ride the expo line to school and get off at the Bergamont or the 17th street station. The kids prefer to get off at Bergamont station so we can walk through the water garden, which is an office complex with wonderful landscaping. We will occasionally stop at the Trimana grill, at the water garden, for breakfast, which the kids especially enjoy. The short walk really helps to put the kids in a good mood. The Blended Learning is the biggest plus this school has to offer, and is the primary reason I chose this school for my kids. Their previous school also touted Blended Learning, but it was in no way implemented to such great success as it has at Saint Anne. My older daughter had always been bored and unfocused in Math class, now her teacher has recognized she can accomplish more advanced work. Math is now her favorite class. My younger daughter is also flourishing, her teacher is conscientious, diligent, and cares deeply about her students. Communication with teachers and staff is also very simple and easy, and I always receive prompt responses to any concerns I have. Overall this is one of the best schools I have put my children in, and am so very glad I chose it. read more

We knew that the public schools in Santa Monica were supposed to be pretty good. But when we visited our local elementary school prior to enrolling our daughter in kindergarten, we were dismayed. It was too late to even apply to most private schools so in a panic we met with a well-known local school consultant. She gave us several ideas, but she insisted that we check out Saint Anne School. So we did, and we were thrilled. We found the teachers, the principal and everyone else to be friendly, enthusiastic, and responsive. The "Blended Learning" program seemed well though out and effective. We also liked how small and intimate the school is. Our daughter is now in the second grade. She has learned so much. She has loved every one of her teachers, and every morning she wakes up looking forward to going to school. We have seen no evidence of any bullying or shaming of any kind. The school has met and exceeded all of our expectations. Of course Saint Anne is a Catholic School, but it has none of the negative stereotypes that some people may associate with that. As a matter of fact, I tell people that the reason our daughter goes to Catholic School is because I'm Jewish--I just couldn't pass up such a good deal. Tuition at Saint Anne is actually less expensive than the after school programs at the Santa Monica Schools, but the quality of the education is as good as any and better than most. read more

My Son has been at St. Anne for three years now and my wife and I couldn't be happier. The entire staff feels like family to us and goes above and beyond in teaching and caring for our Son. The campus is constructed like a small village community. It is safe and quaint as all the offices, dining spaces and classrooms are easily accessible in all directions. The Principal is friendly, caring and always has time to talk. The teachers genuinely love their job and always take time to meet and thoroughly explain the curriculum and what's expected. The reading mentor program is fantastic and helps younger kids develop friendships and positive role models with the upper classmen. I my son is new to this school and I am blown away. The community and teachers are kind and loving but they get down to business in the classroom. Expectations are high and the teachers do a great job working with the kids. Also, the blended learning program, which allows kids to work online at their own level for a period of time each class - is amazing. It provides additional help and practice or additional challenges depending on what each child needs. I wish I had found this school earlier! My son is thriving - he loves the structure and pace of his classes. The kids work hard and feel good about their accomplishments. I cannot say enough amazing things about St. Anne School. The school has an amazing technology program, an elementary/middle school orchestra and does an incredible job of focusing on developing the whole child. It is a hidden gem in Santa Monica and incredibly affordable, not just "affordable for the Westside." My family has been members of the St. Anne's Parish for over two decades, and to watch the transformation of the school over that time has been remarkable. Now as the mother of two (soon to be three as my youngest is entering TK next fall), I am so glad we made the choice to send our children here. The teachers are outstanding. The school community is incredibly diverse and wonderful. The principal is outstanding. This is our first year in Saint Anne. I can only say great things about this school. First the blended learning program is working perfect for my child. Second the environment at this school is very positive where they have no tolerance for bullying, especially because my daughter suffered this problem in her old school. They do have a very professional staff in here starting with teachers, administrative staff and the principal Mr. Browning is always kind and supportive. We moved to the Santa Monica area at the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year and in preparation for that move, we interviewed with several schools last summer as our daughter was entering 2nd grade.  We were impressed with Saint Anne's curriculum and with a 1/2 year under our belt, we are extremely pleased with the choice!  She has a fantastic teacher who communicates frequently with us and is always available.  The school staff is wonderful as well; it really feels like a family atmosphere here at Saint Anne.  Most importantly, our daughter loves going to school and has developed a good core group of friends, even though she is new to the Saint Anne community. read more

The blended learning is a great tool allowing the teachers to focus on the different needs of every child and we are so blessed our son can beneficiate of this program at Saint Anne school.
