My one complaint is the instructor didn't group us all together or show us what to do. She was calling out exercises and I had to look at the regulars in order to know what I was supposed to be doing. I feel like I can stream a workout and get the same amount of direction but have an easier time figuring out what I'm supposed to be doing!

In fact, I scooped up a pair of leggings by Beyond Yoga, in navy, with a gold splatter print--these will be perfect for the holidays. The class that I took was the right mix of challenging and accessible. The studio was kind enough to provide refreshments--coffee and some gluten free muffin bites--post class. Sydney, the PB instructor, has been very proactive about reaching out to follow up with me. I look forward to returning to this studio the next time I am in town.

They didn't teach good technique, especially compared to the other studios you can go to. They didn't focus on flexibility at all, which is important to work on when kids are young and their muscles are still very flexible. The fact that I didn't even try doing my splits until I was about ten really harmed my dancing, as I couldn't do all of the moves that the other kids could do. This studio would be okay for a few years when your kids are young, but I would definitely start at a different studio if I could.

We've done both the parent/child class and the independent classes, where the children are broken up into groups of 4-5 and rotate between stations. Open gym is also amazing. There are typically two open gyms per week with differing hours. Free for children who are currently attending class, otherwise a nominal fee. Each open house is 1 hour long. The gym is easy to contact between email, Facebook messenger, and phone calls. I have had nothing but great interactions with Miss Kelly and all her staff - especially Jen! Make sure to bring socks if you're going to a parent/child class or open house! Free WiFi if you're a parent watching a child in class.

It's a small, intimate venue that holds just the right amount of people, that it's not overcrowded. There's no food to order at the venue itself, but there's restaurants to enjoy before or after the show. However, right outside of the venue is a bar that you can order drinks and bring into the venue. To sum it all up, I'll definitely go back to the Westport Playhouse for other shows that are offered, such as comedy, musicals, and tributes. If you're looking for a not so crowded night out with your friends or family, check out the shows that they have to offer.
