It is a bit of a dive vibe inside, with mismatched chairs and Blues Brothers decor. Karaoke happened on a stage with a dance floor in front (you could walk around with the mic if you don't want to sing on the stage). There were chairs up there too if you wanted to sit down to sing. The crowd was diverse in terms of age and race, but most people were in their forties. The backup music wasn't too loud (great for conversations with your group, less great trying to hear the music while you were singing). KJs were engaging too. The bartender was very nice and efficient. There wasn't any hard cider. It's more of a well drink kind of bar and drinks are reasonably priced. Women's bathroom was clean. There are large free parking lots nearby, although one lot was temporarily closed because of a huge baseball glove in the parking area.

I was happy to attend but in my opinion the singer and back up dancers came up short. The band was amazing and I could have crooned to them all night. I chose the platinum package which consisted of up close seating and snacks and 2 drinks per person. The drink selection was VERY limited. I decided on vodka and cranberry and a moscato, hubby got budlight , and we still had to come out cash for an upgraded brand . Food was being ordered from Panera or Drunken fish. Not interested and a light appetizer available in the hallway. Not interested as well. Venue was very packed . We were seated like sardines and very uncomfortable if you needed to get up for any reason. Staff was nice , and artwork was beautiful. I'll give the evening a 5/10.

It was busy and got busier as our time there did. Our server gave us a heads up that she was running the bar too so if we needed something she didnt catch, to visit her there. This happened 1x. The menu has a lot of selection. We started with pretzels, then I got the chicken sandwich and my husband the jalapeño burger. Both with fries. Both came out hot and were eaten all up. Love it when we return to old stomping grounds and its like you never left!

We usually get together once or twice a year to celebrate birthdays, catch up, and reminisce about the old days. This time, we landed at Trainwreck Saloon in Westport. It had been at least five years since my last visit, so it was nice returning to a familiar spot. I ordered a Schlafly Pale Ale along with a Mushroom and Swiss burger with clean fries. The service was friendly and efficient, and our food arrived about 10 minutes after ordering. The burger was cooked perfectly, and the fries disappeared quickly at the table. Between the good food, cold beer, and great company, everything really hit the spot. Overall, it was another enjoyable experience at Trainwreck and a great place to relax and reconnect with old friends.

I'm tempted to suggest that this is a pizza, wings and t-ravs place--which is all you need, really. If you include beer, which they have, that's all four food groups. (That might actually be true, come to think of it.) I've had the burgers here once or twice, here and at other locations, and I seem to recall them being fine--probably a cut above anything you'd get at a fast food restaurant, and for not much more, but not anything you'd travel for. If you lived in the adjacent hotel for some reason (trying to put together first-and-last on a place in a "good school district," perhaps), you'd be all set. I was there with my parents because they wanted to get the Sunday special fried chicken dinner. Deals like that are like catnip for the elderly. It's an okay deal for the price, and it's reminiscent of a time when a lot of these local sit-down places used to do fried chicken on Sundays. We used to get it sometimes at the Culpeppers near 270 and Olive. It was both much cheaper than this deal and all you could eat. Of course you had to walk there to get it, uphill both ways. (It really was all you can eat.) I didn't order the fried chicken, but I did get a chance to try it. It was good! It was maybe a little bit dry, but it was fried *hard*, like the chicken wings from the hood spot on the Fugees' The Score, to continue with the '90s theme, and it was seasoned well. Weirdly, you have to pick one (just one) side from the list of sides that come with the sandwiches, and there's a dearth of traditional fried chicken sides, like green beans and mashed potatoes. My parents had mac and cheese (which cost extra) and steamed vegetables, neither of which looked like they were that good. But the fried chicken honestly wasn't half bad. I already kinda knew what to expect with the pizza. It's St. Louis style and roughly on a par with Imo's, for what it's worth. The cheese might be better, but the other toppings probably vary depending on what you get. I got the pepperoni, which was fine. Maybe a little bit thin, like the pepperoni they had to use on pizzas during the Great Depression. They load you up on cheese, and like I said, it's a somewhat higher quality cheese. It's not weirdly liquid when it's hot, and it has a satisfyingly substantive chew to it once it's had a chance to cool down a bit. They could have left it in the oven a bit longer, but it wasn't undercooked, just not quite as crisp as I require. I know you have to tell them to do that at Domino's, or else they pull it out of the oven early, to save money that they pass on to you, the consumer, in the form of app deals that seem almost too good to be true. The pizza, if I read the menu correctly, only comes in two sizes, one which seemed like it might be too small and one that was definitely too big for one person. The 12" might honestly be fine for most people who don't have some sort of disorder, which, honestly, might be much of this place's customer base. I ate a whole 16" anyway (no Diddy), along with that chicken. What can I say? It was good, and I'm as pathetic as anyone else who eats here, if not more so.

There is a wide variety on the menu to fill whatever taste you have at the moment. They do have a few helpful selections if you have dietary restrictions. The dining area is used for receptions during the weekends, but during the week it is a place to get breakfast, lunch and dinner. I've never been to one of their catered events (that I know of), but if their restaurant is any indication, I would have to imagine that it's pretty darn good. I've never had a bad meal here. I work really close to this location, so it's a really convenient place to grab a bite. They have a bit of a different set-up--you order at a counter, grab your drinks and a seat, then they serve it to you. It actually makes the process go really quickly, ideal for a work lunch. The menu is extensive and filled with wraps, sandwiches and salads. It's inexpensive and you get a lot of food for your money. For instance, a chicken wrap with two sides is under 8 bucks. And the food is good. My only complaint is last time I was there, the fries were a bit bland. They also have a nice patio area, so you can get outside in the middle of a workday--which many times is much-needed! My favorite thing about this place is the daily "freebies" you get with your order. Tuesday you get a free beverage, Wednesday a free cookie, and Friday they offer a free ice-cream sundae (they offer other things the other days as well). This only makes the value of your meal even greater.

I'll be honest...my heart fell when I saw that this place was co-located with a Comfort Inn. The meeting room was decent but lacked a lot of the high tech stuff you see other places like twin screens and lapel mics. The luncheon exceeded my expectations. We started with a nice garden salad. Fresh and delicious with salad dressing served on the side. Fresh, hot rolls and butter came around as well. The entree was a stuffed chicken breast with herbed rice, cranberries and walnuts. It was sliced and plated beautifully and accompanied by some sauteed carrots which were sweet without having been cooked to the point of mushiness. The chicken was cooked exactly right such that it was nice and juicy. There were also some roasted seasoned potatoes that were very good when dredged through the gravy that topped the chicken. The meal finished with a really moist carrot cake with a little crunch added to the frosting. Just plain delicious!

The bus transportation offered from the casino to the amphitheater was a great convenience. The line for the bus was a little long, but buses were coming about every 15 minutes, so the wait wasn't bad at all, both before and after the concert. The buses also dropped us off right near the concession stands, which was great because we didn't have to make that long walk from the parking lot to the venue. The Smirnoff drink I purchased from the concession stand was pretty expensive at $20, but honestly, I couldn't go to an outdoor concert venue and not have an alcoholic beverage! The seats were roomy and comfortable. I didn't feel like I was sitting too close to the friend I came with, which made the experience even better. The sound system was great, and the stage lighting and projector screens made it easy to see the singers and feel like we had a front-row view. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Hollywood Casino Amphitheater. The concert was great, the transportation was convenient, the seating was comfortable, and the production was impressive. I would definitely return to Hollywood Casino Amphitheater for another concert!

The space itself is very chic and modern. Our event was on a patio on an extremely hot and humid day. While the idea of the glass ceilings is nice to let in the natural light, it unfortunately made me feel like I was roasting in a greenhouse with the sun coming in - the fans didnt do much for air movement and unfortunately there was just no breeze that day so the open balcony didnt help! I also found the chairs to be very uncomfortable. They are deep and may be comfortable for a tall man, but for a women of average height, you cant sit back in the chair without your legs sticking out straight like a child so you have to sit forward on the edge of the seat and try not to slump. I ordered the Forest Park Fizz which was just ok. The charcuterie board was suffering from being in the heat so I cant fault them for that, but the beef filled pastries and the risotto balls were both pretty lame. I would come back to try a different drink and something else from the menu but definitely not on a super hot & humid day!
