This means that there are only two entrances. One is at Big Bend Road towards I-44 and towards I-64. The other is at Hanley Road that has access to neither. Both have traffic lights. There are always crumbs on the floor at some point, or something is out of place which is one of my pet peeves. My only complaint as well. About the huge stores. Sooooooooo much merchandise! A wide spread, with great pricing. Parking lot was also really, really roomy and there is always room. It is busy, but there's always room for one more. The original Town and Country Mall here was considered one of the first indoor malls in the nation. Anchored by JC Penney, Kresge, an A&P supermarket, and a local hardware "superstore," it included a number of boutique shops, a small cafe, and a fountain. It was classy for the largely, middle class, white suburban audience. All that was razed to create the chopped up Overland Plaza with multiple buildings in 1990. Today the main stores are a Schnucks grocery, Marshall's, Dollar Tree, CVS Pharmacy, and Foot Locker. Dozens of smaller stores and offices provide nail, wig, payroll check cashing, eye care, mobile phone, banking, and sports goods and services. McDonalds, Subway, and Wing Stop offer dining options.

There is a movie theater, tons of restaurants, office space, a hotel, and residential space. Do I actually enjoy it? No, this place is the 7th circle of hell for me. There is simply too much going on and the infrastructure for it isn't properly designed. The are only a couple in and out flows for the center, there aren't always stop signs so there are a lot of awkward driving situations, and then there just isn't enough parking. I always just end up going to the parking garage and going to the top level to save myself the hassle of hunting for spots. The good. There are a fair number of restaurants. If you want the buzz of an active area I get it. A lot of the restaurants are higher end, and this is a good area for people in their 40-60s. I just haven't had great experiences at any of the restaurants and the absolute pain of the ill designed center is a big negative. I don't live in St. Charles, so it isn't enough of a draw to make me want to drive west and visit this congested center. I'd take the congestion of downtown or Kirkwood Webster over this any day.

We enjoy Trainwreck Saloon and Westport Social for entertainment. Westport also has seasonal entertainment throughout the year like October Fest, in which the BF enjoyed. We tried schnitzel for the first time. Halloween events for the kids to trick-or-treat. A beautiful Christmas light display. There is plenty of parking and the area is nicely lit. There is a heavy police presence that frequently drives around.
