Tonight we stopped in and it was a perfect night to be out. The place was hopping! The food trucks were slammed and some even running out of some items. We opted for some Yum Yum Chicken from Johnny Thai's food truck. The large portion was plenty to share. Sorry no photo of that since my hubby dug into it before I had a chance to get a picture. One thing we really appreciated was that they're dog friendly, which is always a bonus when traveling with furry family members. The beer was cold and definitely hit the spot, and our kids absolutely loved the mocktails. We only wished the beer selection had been a little larger, though they also offered wines and ciders. So to the Heckler crew, thank you for keeping it simple. This visit I had the Fried Pickles which if being honest were good but they're not the best I've had. If I could give a recommendation I would move away from the breading that's being used as I feel it takes away from the actual pickle which for me is about 90% of the taste profile. The breading was a bit overpowering. Sometimes simple is better. But that's just my opinion as a fried pickle enthusiast. Now as for the pizza, I have to give a solid high five. I've been here three times and everytime I've gotten a pizza and none have disappointed. This time around I got the meat lovers and it was fresh, and delicious. Overall, Heckler is a great place to go and one thing I do love about this place is that it's always a chill vibe, with great service.
