New to town & was out running errands with the Hubby. Happened upon Triangle Wine Company. Lucky US! Wine tasting going on up front with a knowledgable Employee!! Sweet woman who explained the Rosé I have been saying I wanted to try. (I'm a Cab Girl) Walked a few aisles & found a bar! Wow!! My husband chose a beer & had a small taste. Talked a bit with another Employee and was suggested a new one he has never had. He loved it. I chose a new Cab Sav. to try, bought a bottle to bring home. Great atmosphere! Nice to know you can buy a bottle in the store & pop it open in the bar area. They have outdoor seating!!! I did skim through the Cab Sav aisle & was pleased to see some of my fav's at a cheaper price than my local grocery store! Plus, a few I've never seen and plan to try. A must visit place for a wine run or to go take a "time out" with your spouse/loved one. Excited to have found them today. Cheers!! read more

Finally made it out to TWC in Southern Pines and was lucky enough to stumble upon their Hopslam tap takeover. The bottle shop is large with a great selection of wine and beer! They have a bar in the back with seating and private tables. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and able to point you in the right direction per your preference. It's an odd note to bring up, but I've got to mention that the locals at this location aren't all inviting to visitors. Just expect a different vibe than you expect in the Triangle, Southern Pines is a very country, small town place. read more

First time trying the Triangle Wine Company and it was a blast. My wife and I decided to visit this place on the way home from date night and it was just the vibe we needed. It was about 9:40 on a Friday night and they had the good music turned up be the wine and beer flowing. Staff was awesome and other customers in good spirits to form an excellent crowd! Drinks for 2 was well under $10 and plenty of sitting area as well. We will definitely be back for more fun later! read more

My major disappointment is of the 6 wines I examined in the French section, 4 were double the average price, one was on par,and 1 was $2 below average. It won't be my go-to for wine. I wasn't greeted when I walked in. Not really a big deal but most beer and wine stores greet you and offer some sort of friendly customer service. I needed some help finding what I was looking for but I was completely ignored even when I asked for help. The shelves are half full. They are out of most of the things that you would actually want so you have to settle on your second or third choice. It's just not a good look when you walk into a beer and wine store and half of the store shelves are empty. I like choices. It was literally the reason I went there because we have so many places that sell beer and wine here that are always out of the ones that you want so I was hoping that this place would have what we were looking for. I wanted to order a couple cases but no one would help me so I ended up leaving and going somewhere else. read more

This is probably one of the best wine and beer stores I have ever been to and I've been to a lot of luxury wine and beer stores. The customer service was phenomenal. I was inquiring about buying one bottle of beer to try because I was flying the next day and didn't need a six pack. They happy broke the six pack and sold to me individually. When I was trying to decide between the two reds on the menu, the manager recommended I try another option. Yes, it was delicious. Yes, I ordered it. No, I did not realize it was $18 per glass. Maybe it's my fault for not asking. However, the other wines between which I was choosing were $5 and $6 per glass. I found the whole experience unsavory and deceptive. Belgians! Germans! Americans! This place is amazing! I honestly didn't even get a chance to look at the wine selection because I was swooning over the beer (But there looked like a lot of it!) I recently moved to the States from Belgium and was happy to see many of my old friends there (some very obscure) They also had a good selection of Michigan beers (my original home) so I was pretty impressed. Where to start? Singles selection for beer is well... staggering. Very knowledgeable staff concerning beer. Look for Chris, the tall guy with the beard and glasses. He'll walk you through styles, breweries and prices. If you have a flavor, he can find it for you. Matt is fully capable of advising you on wine (and beer). The bar is a fun place to sit and talk beer with the domestics, or even the imports (See what I did there?) Tap takeovers occur on a regular basis. Decent pours, the occasional swag, and a bartender whose claim to fame is being cast in a superhero movie. Fun times to be had before going across the road to the Full Moon. read more

Great selection of wine and beer is like an awesome grocery store for adults .... it also has an awesome bar and you can sip on your wine or beer while you shop!!' How awesome is that!!!! Now, we came in Sunday and there was a wine tasting. I've done a LOT wine tasting for the last 17 years, since I moved to NC, and by experience, they all been fun!!! Except this one... from the moment we approached the table felt uncomfortable... Let me tell you about the lady performing the tasting, first she was dismissive, and very distracted with other customers around the store. I guess I didn't look knowledgeable enough or good customer enough to warrant her attention. There was no explanation of the wine, like where's coming from or so, she was more worried about who's and when people are touching her cheese and crackers. I got a wine glass from my husband and she got kind of offended and told me "normally people try my wine first and then buy the wine, you can move your wine to the other table". Excuse me, I'm still buying your merchandise, it doesn't matter what I do first. We walked away, it's Sunday, I'm out enjoying my day with my family and she treated me like that? Then two kids came in and she gave them crackers, my kid asked, and she told him no that it was just for the wine tasting, is not what you say is how you say it... my son is special needs and not the one you can see... I have my own opinion about that... I still spend over a $150 and the other part of my family spend another $100. But I'll won't come back when she's there, maybe. This is a great concept and as a business owner I love to support local business, but service is always a key to success. read more

I would call it a cross between a small boutique wine store and total wine: they have hand selected each wine, but have enough size to provide a great selection and cheaper prices! You can custom order. If they don't have it, they'll look it up. Taps with very interesting brews rotating on a regular basis. No complaints.
