But after resting in the gospel and soaking in the truth of scripture and Jesus's love and grace for an awful long time--I figured why not? Maybe it will help someone. From my personal experience, they do not have a good law and gospel distinction. Obedience is heavily pushed on the believer, making the gospel burdensome and not restful. It felt like they didn't believe in the power of the gospel. They set rules where scripture had none and they would point to your own obedience and submission for assurance of salvation. It is difficult to find rest and joy in Jesus when everyone is always trying to make sure that you better yourself and please God with your works. Because if you still struggled with a major sin they question your salvation instead of pointing to Jesus. It was always very introspective. And the goal of the Christian life was to "not sin." I once talked their talk and walked their walk, but in hindsight I can see how much damage I have done to other believers faith and how much damage it had on my own. I followed a pietism gospel. They taught that if you love someone you will confront them. But now I see that if you love someone you will extend grace and forgiveness. The Holy Spirit convicts men of sin--not me. It is my job to love and show grace upon grace--not to condemn and criticize and make sure everyone is keeping with their disciplines. There are deep secrets here. So be very cautious. This church deeply hurt me and my family and distorted the gospel. There are many people I still love that are members, but I would not recommend you attend. If you do, be very discerning with law and gospel distinctions. Jesus Christ is the head of the church and in Him alone is there forgiveness of sins for all who call on His name. Soli Deo Gloria

Pastor Perdew is a man of God who preaches the Word of God without fear or favor! He takes his commission as the "watchman on the wall" and the "shepherd over God's flock" seriously. He married me and my wife in 2009, dedicated all 4 of my children to God, and now 2 of them have received the Holy Ghost, and we're baptized in Jesus' Name (Acts 2:38)! If you want a man of God, not a hireling, who is watching for your soul (Hebrews 13:17), then you need to come visit! If you want to hear unfiltered TRUTH, then come visit! The TRUTH shall make you free! There are those who have believe that Bible preaching is "hate", but that just means that the devil has done a good job blinding the minds of humanity from seeing the truth of God's word! Is it hate to tell someone the truth, or is it hate to lie to someone? The Apostle Paul said in Galatians 4:16, "Have I become your enemy because I told you the truth?" Pastor Perdew is a man of God who preaches the Word of God, without fear or favor. That's a real man of God, and that's God's love in action! He preaches like Jesus did, and He didn't pull any punches with the religious people of His day either! Go read Matt 23! That's not hate, that's love. I sat next to one of the reviewers here and heard the same message. Not one time did he encourage us to hate anybody! He admonished us, according to the word of God to hate evil and false doctrine! My wife is the one who was accused of asking her to leave. That is a lie! She kindly told the woman that she could leave if she wanted to, but not to interrupt the preacher while he was preaching the Word of God! The Bible said the day would come when humanity would not be able to "endure sound doctrine" (2 Tim 4:3), and that day is now! Truth is under attack, and a return to God and the Word of God is the ONLY answer! The sign doesn't tell us who to vote for, nor does it endorse political figures...but if ever a country and a man needed prayer, America and President Trump need our prayers! By the way...separation of church and state is not even in the constitution. There's only ONE Lord, ONE faith, and ONE Baptism, ONE God...Ephesians 4:5-6...No trinity! Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38...the Biblical plan of salvation! Like Paul said, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth! If this were a cult, we wouldn't be inviting all to come and visit, nor would we hide what we believe...cults also don't allow people to get out, and we don't make anyone stay. I contacted a member and ask to sit with her so she could help me with the understanding. Half of the way thru the Sunday night service(4 hour service, I was overcome with sadness with the hatred of others(different from them) that came out of the pastors mouth. He encouraged the congregation to hate. Even if you think you are hating the sinners of the world, you are hating the child of God. He seemed to hate everyone who wasnt a member of the church. Every other religion is wrong but His. i finally told him that he was not telling the truth. I was asked to leave by the woman who was supposed to be there to help me. Truly breaks my heart. I will continue to pray for him and the church.

I am really impressed at the welcoming attitude and how seriously they went all out for the kids in terms of decor for the week's theme, the activities, snacks, plays, etc. It's really such a community service to do this for free.

Great church! They host a men's Monday evening BSF class. Bible Study Fellowship is a really cool…read morebible study. The main sanctuary is nice and they have a bunch of Sunday school rooms. We were visiting from Orlando to see some family and take a vacation. I love how BSF is basically in every major city all over the world so you can keep doing your weekly lesson and just get plugged in while you are traveling. You don't miss a beat. Next time we are in town we should come to an actual service but either way I can recommend checking this church out. Whether you are a traveling tourist like me looking to keep pace with BSF or just church shopping in general, you should give LifePointe a try.
