It would have been less relaxing. Must dos: Walk the beaches, main boulevard. Forville Market, Rue d'Antibes (shopping district), churches, casinos (bring your passport), old port, oh and of course the Cannes Film Festival, lol. Other things to do that we did not have time for: Lerins islands, Sainte Marguerite Island, any of the nearby islands (lol), painted walls, beaches, fortified monastery, etc. Ambiance - See above. The hotels are all very expensive, especially hotels situated across from the beach on boulevard de la Croisette. Hotel restaurants are all obscenely over priced. You can find better values in the old part of Cannes. The beaches are beautiful and free, many hotels setup bars and restaurants on the beach and include chair, towel and drink service. The shopping in the area is excellent if you are seeking the highest end brands from Europe, Louie Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, Dior and Armani to name a few. I recommend checking the monthly weather reports for anticipated weather. We traveled in late October and it wasn't my choice as it was a business event. The weather wasn't great as it was cool and rainy. September on the other hand is beautiful.

My wife's pasta was also delicious as was the board of meat and cheeses. Very quaint restaurant on a quiet street off the main street in Cannes. This made for a nice quiet- cozy dinner with my wife. We were welcomed by Nello, the owner, he said, "Stay as long as you like. Don't rush." Well, the food came.... it was amazing! Perfect al dente on the home made Pasta, the carbonara was amazing, the scallop spaghetti was full of perfectly cooked scallops that melted in my mouth. My Italian friend raved about the Milenesa. Nello recommended a perfect wine. We ended with tiramisu and lemmoncello. It was a perfect beginning to our vacation. Nello and his helpers were welcoming and fun! We made a reservation for lunch and got seated pretty fast upon arrival and the food was tastey…read more Overpriced is a given because all of these locations are and it is what it is! We didn't finish our rose so they put it in a clear plastic bag with ice and took it to our sunbeds for us. The sunbeds were super comfy we opted for the ones that were more like mattresses and on the floor vs a the higher ones with adjustable backs. The water was clean and the views were great. It's a small area on the water as the other beach clubs are around it but it's perfect for relaxing. They did have a DJ and i was excited for this but he said he would come on at 6 for the dinner crowd and not the beach... but it was still a lovely day. (I prefer the beach clubs of Saint Tropez over this and rather than doing day trips to Cannes and Antibes from nice next time I would just stay in cannes for a night and head over to Saint Tropez or just go to Saint Tropez only because it has everything there. Local food great beach clubs and amazing views. Oh but pricing there is OUTRAGEOUS!
