Things didn't get off to the best start. The website said the first visit was free, but when I arrived, I was told I didn't qualify because my driver's license was still tied to Los Angeles. I had just moved to Palm Desert and hadn't updated it yet. I let it go because I was planning to sign up anyway. I joined during a promotion and was told my membership would be $23/month with a one-time $1 enrollment fee. I noticed the contract also mentioned $50, so I asked about it. The employee told me it didn't apply to me because I was signing up under the promotion. Two weeks later, I was charged $73. When I asked about it, I was told it was the annual maintenance fee. So there are actually are three different charges: the monthly fee, the annual fee, and the enrollment fee. I wasn't upset about the fee itself - I was disappointed because it hadn't been explained correctly. I continued going mainly to the Palm Desert location for the next two years. The biggest issue is how crowded it gets. Finding parking is almost always difficult, especially in the morning and during the day, and you'll probably end up waiting for several machines. Another downside is that equipment breaks fairly often, and some machines stay out of service for weeks or even months before they're repaired. That said, I do want to give credit where it's due. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming, and they've recently added new equipment, which is nice to see. More recently, my membership went from $23 to $25 per month. It's not not a huge increase, but it was disappointing because I was originally told my promotional rate would stay the same. In the end, the biggest reason I'm leaving is simply that it's become too crowded for me to get a good workout during the hours I can go. One more thing to be aware of: when you cancel, you'll still be charged for one more month because they require 30 days' notice. I wish that had been made clearer from the beginning. I'm grateful to the staff and appreciate the past two years, but it's time for me to find a gym that better fits my schedule and needs.

Most recently my daughter took on private Voice lessons with her musical theatre teacher Kristiana. I am blown away at how much Kristiana has gotten my daughter out of her shell in just a couple lessons. My daughter was previously with a different voice instructor at a different studio and while it may have been beneficial she was not reaching her full potential. Now my daughter leaves every lesson so confident with a huge smile. So glad TDS has wonderful mentors like Kristiana.

The McCallum Theatre is a stunning venue spotless, very well organized, and filled with warmth. From the moment we arrived, every staff member was kind, courteous, and welcoming, which made the entire experience even more special. This was our second time visiting the theatre, and once again, it exceeded our expectations. We genuinely love coming here and look forward to many more unforgettable nights. The day we went to pick up the Christmas dress, I was informed my daughter's dress was missing even though we were charged for it and were informed we have one day to exchange it. Finally the owner said she left it at her home and brought it after the class--apparently she babysits her own children, SMH! On that same day, I was informed all of the tickets were sold out for the show and they had only been on sale for 4 days. The owner did not set a limit on how many tickets each customer could purchase tickets. One person informed me they purchased 20 tickets--we only needed 4 tickets! We had attempted several times to purchase tickets online on my phone and laptop and the website was non functioning. I informed the owner of this and was not given any understanding about my situation and was informed I should have come in and purchased them in person--what is the point if you have a website!?! My father had passed away prior to this and was not given any sympathy for my loss and rather was informed, "If you didn't buy tickets in time, there is nothing I can do about it!" The tickets could have been added to the purchase of the dress or on our monthly bill which they charged us religiously, however they said they don't do business that way and all tickets are open to public! The lack of professionalism, respect for their customers, and chauvinist attitude is no good and we would never recommend this dance studio to anyone!
