Then sent me a letter saying they were closing the firm. He didn't even have the decency to return my money so I could go to another lawyer. People and their family are already grieving and to have someone to take advantage in this way is terrible. They even made the bond man return my money because they knew they didn't do anything, so what about you. I intend to do something about this lawyer and firm. They also have charged us the percentage on the estate in addition to the retainer we paid. They refuse to pay back the retainer. We regret ever hiring this firm. Edited: Within minutes of leaving this review I received an email from Mr Payne apologizing for the delay in finalizing our estate even though I was promised on 1/02/24 by his office they would forward the closing statement. I was asked to edit my review and accused of Defamation and making false statements for leaving an honest review. He now says we "Agreed" to pay him this 3000.00 and would be happy to meet with me to explain how he worked this into our contract. Then why do I have an email stating it would be returned upon closing the estate?

Matthew and Mitchell demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of the internet and what the interpretation of privacy means in this new world of communications. These attorneys felt we had a reasonable grievance, but legal interpretations would be "in play". They took time to explain previous case law and possible negative reactions if we pursued our case, but were always supportive of our decision to move forward. All actions and communications were handled promptly, and we were always welcomed and made to feel comfortable in our discussions. The outcome was favorable and, in our opinion, the direct result of Matthew and Mitchell's knowledge of this new realm of digital communications. We took the titles in, signed the back of them and left them there. Mind you, we have a folder that we had everything involving Daddy's estate in. When I asked about the titles, was told they gave them back to us. So, we had to file for lost titles making us have to wait longer. Now, we've received an invoice for more money. I asked why when we were told it was a flat rate which I paid up front. Was told it was for the additional work. So, the end result is they did finish the job, but be very careful with their "flat rate" pricing.

In the meantime a sales rep called to see if they could take my money since they could not move forward with her. This place definitely has an "ambulance chaser" feel. On a good note, Trisha Nelms, Receptionist, was so sweet to my mother, the times we visited. I thank her for that. Also, Cara Brown, Office Manager, has her stuff together. I could tell just from talking to her for 20 minutes. I hope Cara finds another job with a stellar organization because she's too good for this place.

There was also a decent selection of furniture, housewares, books, electronics, and toys. I got several nice frames for $2 each. Goodwill prices in general are pretty high for thrift, but this one has some nice pieces that were worth it. For instance, shirts were $5.99 which is kind of high, but I got a couple 100% merino wool sweaters for that price, which is good for such well made items. Staff were constantly putting out new items the whole time we were in there.

Ms. Roberson and her team have been wonderfully helpful not just with the initial nanny search, but with our continuing, ongoing child care needs of all kinds. Elspeth is a internal medicine physician who specializes in geriatrics. I'm a kids cancer and gene therapy doctor at Levine Children's. We both have the honor of trying to help patients struggling with severe and complicated medical challenges - often resulting in unpredictible and unexpected work hours and on-call weekends. And our medical training meant Elspeth and I didn't start having children until relatively late in our lives. When Elspeth and I were lucky enough to begin our journeys as parents, our own parents are too medically frail themselves to be able to help us with our newborn children, and our other family too far away. Ms. Roberson and her team have been incredibly supportive and helpful from the very, very beginning. Neither Elspeth nor I knew anything about hiring a nanny: Ms. Roberson walked us through every step, including helping us with arranging the necessary payroll, tax witholding, and health insurance paperwork to do it all right. Ms. Roberson helped us recruit nanny candidates from across the country with substantial experience, from which we selected J, our amazing nanny who has been our primary nanny ever since our first child was born and continues with us to this day. But more than that: Ms. Roberson also helped us recruit skilled, experienced and caring temporary newborn care specialists at the very beginning, to help us with the most time-intense early days of our baby's life (since again, we have no family nearby or medically able to help, and we both continued to have clinical duties throughout). Their expertise for us as brand new parents was extremely, extremely helpful. And in the years since, Ms. Roberson and her team has continued to routinely help us with substitute and last-minute nannies to help us, when our primary nanny got sick, or when clinical duties suddenly required unexpected weekends caring for patients instead of being at home with the kids. I learned about Rick Carter, a PA (Public Adjuster), who works on behalf of the consumer to get his clients the insurance money that they are entitled to. The tree damage paled in comparison to the damage the contractor did to my home. Mr. Carter helped me deal with some unscrupulous local contractors that had walked off the job and refused to comply with county building codes." Mr. Carter helped me navigate insurance denials.
