I made an afternoon…read moreappointment with Ahmed (the owner) and when I walked in, the shop was dimly lit, nobody else there, hair all over the floor, and he was sitting on the barber chair. I keep my hair relatively short and messy on the top. I asked to get a very simple trim, no fade or anything fancy. He totally butchered the trim around my ears, didn't take more than a 1/10th of an inch off the top, and then proceeded to take a straight razor to the back of my neck with no cream. I now have a messed up haircut, and a giant red and painful rash on the back of my neck. I can see why I was the only one there. Avoid this place at all costs.

But then it got worse; my barber didn't listen to any of my instructions or wishes and he just cut my hair how he felt like it. That wouldn't have been as bad if he had done a good job, but it was more like it was the guy's first day on the job and he had no training at all. However he cut my hair it made no sense and I have to wait to go to a different place to get my haircut fixed. I gave the guy a tip out of habit and he didn't even say thank you to me. In fact after being a customer there for a while, this time I felt like they didn't want me there at all and that they didn't want me to return. No problem, I will not return.

Everyone was so kind to our little guy. His barber greeted him with a fist bump and gave him topnotch care and attention. His haircut turned out great! Great barbers! My son, who can be wiggly, has had wonderful hair cuts there. I have been told in…read moreother places that he is too wiggly for them to cut his hair. But my son, a young adult with a cognitive disability, knows competent professionals! We won't take him anywhere else than The Gentlemen's Barber Shop now and I doubt he would let any place else touch his hair. Their prices are reasonable but the barbers, of course, also know their worth. Of course, most of their clients are neurotypical but they do a great job on my son.
