Several dentists say I'm the funniest person they'd ever met (this is not bragging, it's a pitiful confession) until they notice I've been in the chair for hours. But with Dr. Monteiro I didn't say one funny - she was quick, professional yet friendly, painless, took time to tell me what she was doing before she did it, and used lots of cool, state-if-the-art instruments. She and her dental assistant seem to almost read each other's thoughts and things get passed back and forth while I caught up on the "Help I Wrecked My House" show.
